Today we experienced some issues with the sign in process that may have impacted the ability to sign into the community sites and create new posts.

This would not have impacted members already signed into the community or guest members just viewing the site.

We believe the issues are now fully resolved.

Thank you for your patience, and we do apologize for any inconvenience that was experienced.

That is nice to know. I thought it was my computer. I was going to call my computer tech person but decided to call eBay instead. The rep told me to clean out my cookies and etc. I did and it worked for a while then went down again. So I called my computer tech. He just left. It cost me $50.00 to find out nothing wrong with my computer.  Now I find out it was eBay all along. Just not my day I guess. :)

Today???

For over a year I have complained that I can be on ebay...do anything I like.... list, edit, add sales... and out of the blue, I am forced to login before I can go on!

AND....

If I log in...leave ebay and then IMMEDIATELY return, I can do anything on ebay I want to... EXCEPT LIST SALES!  When this happens... I don't get a login page... but an error page telling me the service or page is not available.

I have called support several times to no avail... so, I don't think the login problem started just TODAY!

I hate the new page layout to the point of where I do not want to shop on eBay any more. Get rid of the "newly listed" banner that cover the photos. Did anyone there actually talk to people who use eBay, obviously not.

I hate the New Listing Banner and the new page set up to access sub categories.  I don't get what this accomplishes?  It's not more efficient, just more clutter.   As a long time ebay buyer I really tire of these changes that someone must be thinking are improvements.  Please leave good enough alone. You'll lose the interest of ebay buyers!

Is anyone else having difficulty with having blank pages when searching on Ebay with triangle at bottom of screen? I cannot search on Ebay and have screen show results and therefore cannot shop. It looks like Ebay would look into this since they are losing money since it just started recently and I know I am not the only member having trouble like this. I have tried many fixes and still no luck. Can anyone lead me in the right direction to fix the error number KB927917 HTML Parsin error Unable to modify parent container element before the child element is closed? I need help with this and unble to find help. Thank you very much. Roger107217

Thank you for your patience, and we do apologize for any inconvenience that was experienced.

seeing this special thread here, i will repost my earlier comment:

during the outage, isn't there some way an ebay banner could have been displayed

to notify users that it wasn't their own browser or internet access

please, just imagine how many ppl were uselessly clearing cache, restarting computers, switching browsers...

Probably the person responsible for makng such banners could not log in themselves.

Seriously.

Or more simply eBay did not know about teh problem until after it was a problem and by the time they realized it was a problem it no longer was.
