Hi barbiemo- and good morning to you!!! Isn't it annoying? It used to be I could just minimize eBay and check the discussion boards throughout the day, and post as I wished. Now it is as you say...sign in...sign in again....very annoying!! Almost worse is when you've been away just long enough that the board does not show that you are signed out, you compose a post and post it and eBay eats it because you weren't really signed in...that has happened to me a few times too!

Yes it happens to me too. I am sick of it. Maybe it's so we won't be here alot (get fed up) so it won't fill the threads up. It's been going on for a long time so they have to know about it.

Very tiring, most definitely! I keep two windows open when I am online to avoid the annoying process. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Live simply that others might simply live. ~ Elizabeth Seaton

but your user ID you have to reenter each time ..... aarrrgh! I don't have to do that all the time. I make sure when I am signing into ebay itself, I check the box that says to keep me signed in on this computer. As long as I don't close the window I am fine then.

I take that back, noahiam.....Because I'm not currently selling, most times I have not been signing into eBay itself at all, unless I'm going to "watch" some items. I'll try that! Thanks!!

frazr I've been doing it for awhile now. It used to be you'd stay signed in. Guess they thought that was too easy for us.

Absolutely no help here. I'm just glad to find I am not being singled out. I've called Ebay about it. No help from them either.

It seems they are trying to drive everyone away with more and more changes. More and more complications. And more and more signing in! Sigh...

It does make it a *little* easier to install Mozilla as your browser. It can be told to save your ID & PW and I have the ebay signin page as my home page. It opens right up with the info already in. All I have to do is hit the Enter key! 'Course I have to resignin throughout the day, just like y'all.

I check the box that says to keep me signed in on this computer. As long as I don't close the window I am fine then.

If closing the window knocks you off, then why does ebay have the warning "don't check this box if you are on a shared computer"?

There would be no point in having that statement if merely closing the window would sign you off the site.

To me, checking "keep me logged on today" means you should stay logged on today. Until midnight tonight. Window open or closed. But to ebay, it doesn't mean anything judging by all the complaints about users continuously having to sign in. There's these, plus several threads about it over on SC. Probably on other boards as well.

I did install it but turned that part off. You never know when someone could hack your info because it's able to do that.

This having to continually sign in after looking at a few items is seriously agravating to say the least.

Someone suggested deleting the cookies and history list, but  that did not accomplish the intended fix at all.

I have three laptops and a desktop and I get the same results from them all.  sign in   sign in  sign in.

It's got to be an ebay problem,  and they should have the responsibility to solve it.   Hopefully sooner than later !!!

Have the same problem.  If this is not a serious one, I don't know what is.

I've been having the same problem since last night. I've cleared my PC's cache, run virus and adware scans, which have turned up nothing untoward, yet when I try to place bids or merely browse, the sign in page keeps reappearing.

If anybody has any info as to why this is happening, please post here. Thank you in advance.
