Where is everyone that used to be here?

Hi

I used to love coming to this discussion board and reading information on vintage Christmas finds, plus get information. No one seems to be here anymore...

Where did everybody go?

It's too bad, there were some really great finds.....

I have been posting on the collectibles board because this board has been so slow. Last year at this time this board was lit up like....well....like a Christmas tree. Not this year. I have been dropping by every day and try to respond to any new posts even if it is to say that I don't know anything....just trying to pick up the activity. Maybe all of the experts are too busy listing!

The new format hasn't helped a bit.....

Remember when 'watching' a thread meant that we received update notices in our email? That certainly kept me interested in a topic!

Oh my gosh, I was checking this thread for a few weeks and no responses. So I gave up.

I just thought I would give it one more shot. Boy, am I surprised!! Pleasantly. It's nice to know there are still people here.

And you are so right, this board was lit up like crazy last year. It is so quiet this year. I am new to vintage Christmas collecting, buying and selling and there have been so many times that I needed some advice or information, but no one was here to ask. :O

Glad to see there are some people hangin out. I'm going to keep checking back!

One thing that doesn't help traffic is that many OP's never acknowledge an answer or a request for further information. Unrequited love's a bore, or so the song says.

I think this board is much like ebay right now.

Is anyone selling anything? Last year at this time, I had a ton of sales for myself and my family and friends. This year, I have sold nine items with only eight more bids (low bids).

It seems like everyone is hiding or waiting for something. What..... I have no idea.

Maybe I'm not selling the right stuff. I don't sell gifts, so that might be the problem. I sell decorations, vintage, used and new.

I know this is kinda off the subject, but is anyone else having s l o w sales?

Sorry, I'm only a buyer so I can't speak to slow sales.

As a buyer, I can't find much of the antique/vintage holiday things that I love 'cause the sellers aren't listing much.

If I sold on eBay, I would be really concerned about
listing things 'cause there aren't many bids on auctions and I'm sure sellers aren't getting what they need or want to get from their listings.

BTW, your aluminum tree looks great! I hope it sells well for you.
