Hey all you mini-nuts. Did ya miss me? I'm still round. Haven't done much in the way of mini stuff cause I was training Sadie. She's all grown up now, really pretty GSD. Ilucked out with her.
So..... the other day I was doing some housecleaning and noticed how dusty the minihouse was... so i dusted it all, fell inlove again and yep.... ordered some stuff. it's in the mail. Coming from China. Cheap and free shipping. Hope it looks as good in real life as the pics do. I'm changing my ivingroom to a more contemporary look. Ordered a modern sofa and chair and an upright piano........
I'm alsoon the edge of ordering The Pierce......... itchy finger, just have to....... do it, lol. Prolly today. been scrimpin and savin so it's all good. no worries.
Other than that life is rgressing smoothly. My anxiety attacks are nonexistant and i am sleeping throught the night. Yep, feelin better and better everyday. I'll be back later with some pics, just having my coffee now......

Hooray! Sadie's wet in the pic, that's why her fur is clumpy. She's 15 months old now. The house pic was taken with the blk/wht setting on my NEW cam. Yup, taking lots and lots of pics, most of them..... Sadie.

I got this funny broken Marx toy and decided he was just what I needed to guard the treasures in the dollhouse attic..
He cracks me up.
He'd look good as an "antique" piece of statuary in a living room, too. Hmm. Maybe I need to look for more like this. ROFL
Or. NOT.

Well, I got some excellent news today. I knew I was on a roll. A friend of mine has taken a job out of town and needs someone to rent her house. Guess who's gonna rent it? Lol, too cool. Little 2 bedroom house, basement, garage, fenced back yard for Sadie. Lot's of room in the basement to say..... build a miniature house...... so I did it. Just now, I ordered the Pierce. OMG, my heart's fluttering. Whew, take it easy old girl. Excellent winter project. :D *sigh*

Well. This guy can't really measure up to Barbie.. he's only about 4 inches high, even without the head.
I looked at other vintage Marx figures here but didn't see anything like him....lol. He just makes me laugh.
I didn't clean him at all... just stuck him in there.

Funny how we get attatched to little things. 4"...... ok. MiniBarbie? lol.
Just gonna rant about my reborn love for minis. Guess I needed a break to "find myself" lol.
So much goin through my head right now. Can't wait to get the Pierce. A week to 10 days? OMG, I can't handle it. Meanwhile I'm checking every minisite/blog for ideas. Saw this incredible Pierce with stone work exterior walls. Spectacular but time consuming i spose. Thinking maybe a painted lady clapboard shingles, some kind of traditional "blow you mind" color scheme. Ohh... so many decisions.
And there's a parcel filled with mini items (13) on it's way from China. *sigh*

LORI! I am so glad I checked in when I did, I wouldn't have wanted to miss your post! I haven't been posting either, I wasn't doing anything "mini" & was facing end of the school year crazies. Then, just when school let out I was selected for Jury Duty. I'm still in the midst of it, and although I really believe in taking an active role in our Justice system I can't wait for my Summer to start!
Sadie is just GORGEOUS, and your house rental news is exciting! I am so glad things are well for you. Now I have to check out the other threads & see how it's going for everyone else. I sure have missed you folks!

Yes.. a hunk that can't talk. Unfortunately because he is lacking arms, he can't unload the dishwasher, either. 
I suppose he'd work ok as a coat rack. LOL
I can't wait to see what kind of plans you've got for the Pierce, Lori!!! *yay*
That's the funnest part.. the planning. It's hard to focus... but once you get a "theme" in your head.. then its easy!!!
I can imagine that one done up as one of those Cape May houses... very colorful...maybe. red white and blue... or just red and white!!! FUN fun FUN!!!!!

Hi, I sure wished I knew you wanted the Pierce. I have one listed on Craigslist right now and I am selling it cheap. I can't ship it though because the box was destroyed so I had to find another box. I did but it isn't quite big enough to close, one piece is too big.
I already have the Pierce and I love it. I bought it built but not finished. It turned out great, I will post some pictures as soon as I can remember how to post. It's been a long time since I posted some pictures here. Good luck with your new dollhouse, I am sure you will have fun. Dolly

Nice offer Dolly and thanks but I ordered from a supplier i've been ordering from out of Toronto. The kit, amoung others, is on sale right now 40% off. And no cross border customs or delays, shipping is minimal. Plus I get online and telephone support while I'm building it. I'm sure I'll have a million questions for you peeps too.

Stuff should start arriving next week. Not sure what I'm anticipating more, the Pierce or the minis I ordered. The past few days i've been obsessing about the Pierce. Picking out wallpaper, flooring, exterior treatments. Appliances, furniture, nick naks, linens.......... STOP....... I need a coffee.
Pouring over vidoes and blogs, soaking up info. In my mind I've built it again and again.

Just wanna babble n about my Pierce a bit........
Pouring over wallpaper samples. Got it narrowed down to 10 samples. I'm picking out paper with no borders, that way it won't matter much how straight it is. I'll use wood trim to finish it.
Found some hardwood flooring sheets on here. BIN. Just have to decide on dark or light wood. I'm going to make my own curtains and drapes.
Thinking about tiling the bathroom walls.
Decided on battery light instead of wiring the house. I'll do that next year when I get my Beacon Hill. Lol. Maybe......
So, that's where I am in my plans so far. No, don't know how I'm finishing the outside. I like clapboard but then again I love the big old brick houses too. *sigh* We'll see.
