Hi Shirl, thank you! No I didn't make the Kimono, bought it several months back from a seller in China (no longer a registered user-lol). For some reason, this doll has the thickest hair of all the Bratz dolls. Some of them have thinner hair where you can see the scalp. I have a beautiful Bratz redhead that I'm thinking about hybridizing or not. Wasn't it you who favored redheaded dolls?

Thank you, Shirley. Except for the hair, both dolls are identical and are marked JOUET INC. 1965. They were in pretty bad 'fru fru' outfits when I bought them, so I decided to have some fun with them.

..and you are correct - the heavily applied eye make up they are wearing is how the dolls were made.

Thanks

rk5 "Is there a link where I can learn about repairing hair damage? Never heard of boiling hair? How to?"
I don't have a link for you but perhaps you should start a new thread for your question on Doll hair Repair Tips. There are several Doll collectors here that have worked Miracles on doll hair. They may have some links or suggestions. You might want to post some pictures of the doll's damaged hair
Regarding the boiled hair; I've only done it on Barbie & Bratz doll hair. I wash it first with laundry soap, then dunk in water diluted creme rinse and rinse well. I comb the wet hair straight and dunk it for 10-11 seconds (timed) in water that has just boiled. I immediately rinse under cool water, comb straight and let air dry - that's it.

Patkan Goldilocks is fabulous! I love dolls that sit naturally in chairs. Is she porcelain? She looks like she has that unique wax finish. Love her

My Brand New 1995 (in box) "Baby So Beautiful" arrived today! I found her on the "Ranch" and snatched her up (great price). She's has the hard to find face with the more puckered lips and she's all original! Now I have 3 BSB's - thrilled with her.

You crack me up Chap, you have about 20 of every doll ever made That little baby "Charlie" is precious, whenever I see anything Chaplin, I think of emailing you but then I feel like an enabler so I don't.
Now I have 3 BSB's sitting on top of my TV with 1 other same size doll. No more room here to display another one. My cats like to chew dolls so I have to strategically position and place them

Dejavudolly: I know...too dang many. If I weren't so scared of being ripped off by buyers I would sell a bunch on ebay..
I get so stressed while the auctions are running.
Oh please enable when you see anything of Charlie!
Was it you that pointed me to the pencil box???
This is my Goodreau Scatter. He reminds me so much of Jackie Coogan!

"I get so stressed while the auctions are running."
I feel exactly the same way Chap. It seems nowadays, all the bids are coming in at the last hour and last few minutes/seconds so we end up up sitting on pins and needles!
You should try the "Ranch" - it's all BIN. Stuff sits for a while but it's free to list and the final value fee is cheap when it sells. I've sold a fair share on there (Email me if you want more info about it). Wasn't me on the Pencil Box.
Your Goodreau Scatter is fab, love that hat on him and he does look like Jackie Coogan! I just saw one on Flickr that I love...

This is my repro Bru...
I've had her for awhile but she hates having her picture taken.
Seriously. I don't get it. I just can't get a decent picture of her.
What a DIVA.
So I doctored up a mediocre photo.
Now she's decided that she needs a different hat!
But.
That's a project for another time.

but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

I think I once had about 15 BSB, Deja, they are so cute! I love your new one!
Well, same old, pics of Himstedts. One of these days I'll get my other dolls down and take pics.

Choca she's beautiful! I have never seen such a beautiful repro - love her She's camera shy like me.
Chaplins she's too cute - sweet looking Crissy.
Keikoasmon I'm sooo jealous of your 2 beauties, I'd love to have just one of those large Himstedts (Tamina, looks like my oldest daughter).

More great dolls I see.
Italocremona made these delightfully mod dolls named Corrine in 1968. Their faces look like beautiful Italian girls. About 16" tall.
