Preparing my Terry Twist for sale later this year. It's

been more than 4 years that I've had her. She was

bought from the auction site Ruby Lane at $160 five

years ago. I invested a lot more money on her wardrobe.

I will be selling her at great loss. 1/3 the of what I paid

for her and her wardrobe. She's a pretty doll and

her price collapse is not justified. I've said this many times.

She's a photographer's doll, looks best in flash

photography as this brings out her high cheek colors.

Her arms are loosely strung and cannot hold a pose

unless tightened by turning the arms. I thought of giving

her new tension strings to tighten her arms,

her arms are strung the same

way as a resin Asian BJD with S hook and tension

cord but her hooks and plastic which holds the hooks

are very brittle by now and tightening her arms is NOT a

good idea. I'd miss her, but its time.......I take many

photos of her now for one last celebration of her beauty.

She's been a darling in my home. I am forced to

downsize my big vinyl dolls because I move frequently

and I'm short of space. I can only collect small

dolls from no.

I think I need to clarify my Terry Twist buying price. She was bought for US$130 but after shipping to Canada where I lived at that time and Canadian border tax, I paid $160. This exludes the accessories I bought and made for her afterwards.

Now you did it Patkan! You pushed me over the edge. I'm in awe of that Pinnochio boy - he's too cute for words, especially with his little pinnochio "nose". :-x

Chaplins' who does the faceup, an artist in China? Do they just do his painted features or did you have them do more, like new eyes etc.? He came out great, I thought maybe you had painted him.

Bad weather down here in St Pete Florida - major flooding and tornado warnings! I live in a very low flood prone area (near Tampa Bay).  My car is pretty much under water (will have to be totalled/Insurance Claim). House is sitting in water about 10" from coming in. High tide hit at 5:30 so I should be OK for now. Tomorrow's high tide is around 7:15AM.  Had to put tons of stuff up higher - especially my dolls ...Nerve racking. :(

After a frustrating shipping episode, and a nasty email to The Dollhouse regarding shipping, Odette finally arrived home, she almost didn't make it though. She's my first Plusczok, and my first 10.5" doll. So here she is with Little Rock

Don't call us little....

She's precious! He's adorable too :-x

Thanks again Lynn, love your mystery doll :-x

...things are almost back to normal. Car will be totalled but I have insurance so I'm covered. That was nerve racking. 3 days of flood waters 1/2" from coming in to the house.

I recovered from Tropical Storm Debbie :) & I'm back to the Bratz's. Here is a little Bratz conversion I just did. Yasmin "Nighty Night" received a new Bratz jointed body and a repaint on her damaged lips. I boiled her hair straight. She has pretty frosted blonde hair - love her.

Long overdue for a visit to this thread!!  Patkan, I love your pinnochio.  Don't know if I spelled that right or not, ha!

Deja!!  I am so glad your home did not get flooded and sorry to hear about your car.  What a nightmare that must have been with worry.  I did come in just in time to see your latest Bratz hybrid tho:-x  Little flirty-flirt she is.  Was just thinking the other day, that I need a nice plaid skirt; one that would go well with goth.  And there it is!!  You have it:^O

Jannilu--Quite a pair there!  Who is the gal on the left; with the red hair?  Several months back, I saw the same type doll at a local flea-market.  Can't remember what the seller was asking, but I kept looking at that doll.  At first I thought someone had used a black marker on her eyes and then realized they were really hers.  Someone finally bought her and I was relieved:^O  She makes a perfect little hippie chick.

Ok I'm bad... instead of mowing the lawn (88 degrees), I made another Bratz Hybrid. She is Sportz Cloe on a modern belly button Barbie body. She is now a blonde Geisha.

Oh yes Deja, it was way too hot to mow:^O  Another wonderful job on your Geisha.  Did you make the kimono?  Love the before and after pics.  You give these dolls new life!
