Serenity, under "Helpful Topics" to the left on the Doll Board, there is "How to Post Pictures." It's really easy.

toygirl - i finally got around to reading this thread and loved your photos, it told a little story of your childhood. So sweet, and great you have these memories.

Thanks, play...and la_dolls.

The yard sale went amazingly well. Will go for one more weekend because I have so much stuff....then to the flea market...I am so tired and have a very big week ahead..

La_dolls- I love the old donald duck dishes..

I had exactly that kind of baby chair with attached table when I was a baby. It was called a "Baby Tend-R". Sold as a safer alternative to high chairs, mine had a table tray that was reversible to a green chalkboard.
When I had my own baby (circa 1975) they were still being sold- I got an "invitation" for new parents to see a demonstration.

If they can put a man on the moon why can't they put them ALL up there?

Thank you! DJ!
yes, he was a good looking man....I remember the cardboard sewing kits....I remember sewing on them. But I did not have one as cute as the dolly one you have..

Does anyone remember the little square things with the pegs that stuck up and you took pieces of colored Stretchy looped yarn and you made hot mats and the like with the little square thingie..?? I know I had one of those.

OH! DJ- I am not done yet, I have more slides...and photos of toys..

I want to thank all of you for sharing all your items. I have enjoyed seeing each and every one of them. In fact last night a cousin of mine phoned and we came to the DB and looked at this thread and she was so thrilled to be able to see my little collection and was enjoying all the other pics that were still up.

Thinks, chipmunk, the only way I can show some of the toys is with me in them...I don't have a lot of my childhood toys...

I remember having the little metal washer, and kitchen sink, that really worked....don't have that either! I must have lost a lot of toys when we moved....

Gasp and swoon!!!!! I haven't been back to this thread for a while,
and it's all so fabulous!!!!!
Adding a few more pics to the museum:
Paper-covered nursery rhyme puzzle-blocks in the foreground, and a
Busy Bee game (called Cootie in the USA, but identical to the Canadian version). And assorted baking stuff and my set of Akro Agate Stacked Disk dishes on the shelves.
Little Hostess Moderntone Pastel dishes on the table in the second pic. (As a kid, I was mightily jealous of my sister's dishes because even though I had two sets, mine were both so very plain and hers were Blue Willow and all pretty and exotic!!)
And third pic shows Marx Tin Dollhouse and Cheerio Cardboard Barn on my old Chrome Suite table.

In my house, "dust" is a "protective coating".

Thanks dj -- my son found the chrome-suite table thrown out in a back alley and brought it home strapped to the roof of his Gremlin with its legs waving in the air.
I found the extra leaf for the table for pennies at a flea market, and then I found the chairs (with totally wrecked awful brittle plastic upholstery) for cheap at an auction.
Then it took another 10 years to find the right oilcloth fabric (which wasn't cheap) and get around to re-upholstering them. Right now, the set is in one end of the basement rec-room -- but the whole business is moving upstairs to the kitchen one of these days.
