To whom it may concern,

I had to let someone know that we have sold items on ebay since 2001 and this will be our last year we are selling on ebay! We couldn't find anywhere that ebay takes complaints about ebay. We made a good living doing it but now the new selling fees have broke us. We are not responsible for shipping cost by any means! We can no longer make ends meet. Now we have started switching to selling in antique stores because it is a whole lot cheaper! We watched ebay fees go from $100-$200 a month in 2001 to $700-$900 for the same amount of sales. It saddens me because for years we told everyone how fair ebay was to their sellers but now ebay doesn't stick up for them when shippers lose stuff or are late getting it there. We lost over a thousand dollars last year due to fraudelent claims and ebay nor Paypal didn't care about us the seller with great feedback. They didn't care when nonpaying bidders left us negative feedback and instead punished us with taking away our 20% fee discount when we left a false positive feedback for the nonpaying bidder to let other sellers know what the buyer was doing to everyone who sold him something! So we have to say for all that that we are done with ebay along with hundreds of sellers closing their accounts and doing business elsewhere. Shame on you ebay! Shame on you for not taking care of the people that make you the money!

I never understood why they charge so much. Dont they make money from the traffic they get. Another thing thats gets me is the paypal fee. I dont mind paying the paypal fee when i use paypal, but if I sell something on ebay I think the paypal fee should be waived.

48 days of selling and I quit. Ebay would not remove a fraudluant negative feedback. The seller was out of the posted shipping area and was refunded payment immidiately, but somehow was able to leave neg feedback because I would not do business with him. Hmmm Bad ebay craigslist here I come.

I think eBay money-appetite depends on their manager. In those years of 2001 there was another manager which left, and now the modern one wishes to pour the water from the stone... I do not see the other reasons for their apprical.  B-) For more details read Carl Marx! :-D

You are being very unfair to ebay, you dont understand that they need to charge what they charge for many reasons. The most important is a perfectly defined in the below  quote from wikipedia.com about the former CEO of ebay Meg Whitman.

"In February 2009, Whitman announced her candidacy for Governor of California, becoming the third woman in a twenty year period to run for the office. She won the Republican primary in June 2010. The fourth wealthiest woman in the state of California with a net worth of $1.3 billion in 2010,[4] she spent more of her own money on the race than any other political candidate spent on a single election in American history,[5][6] spending $144 million(ONE HUNDRED FOURTY FOUR MILLION DOLLARS) total of her own fortune and $178.5 million including donors"

Now that being said you need to get back to work and stop complaining otherwise the next CEO of ebay might only have

$143,999,000.00 to possibly run for Governor of California. You have no idea what its like not to have 144 million dollars just in case you need to run for Governor.

PS- Also you need to be mindfull that they also might need a few extra bucks to buy a company like skype and sell it a few years later for a billion dollar loss. And of course you need a few billion lying around just in case yoiu want to buy a company like paypal so you can charge even more Fees!

NOW QUIT YOUR WHINING AND GET BACK TO WORK
AFTER ALL YOUR FINGERS ARE NOT BLEEDING YET, WHICH ONLY MEANS YOUR NOT WORKING HARD ENOUGH.

eBay knows they're going to lose a lot of sellers but they have so many members it's a drop in the bucket.  Plus (for now anyways), this is where the buyers are.

You can list on other sites but most don't have the buyers or traffic that eBay does.  I list my items on Bonanza.com which has no insertion fees, free pics, & much lower final value fees.  They just need more buyers & they'll become what eBay was when I joined in 1999.

What does this have to do with eBay? I don't get it? Guess I'm just not political enough.

I am so angry with ebay that I am leaving as well. I have been screwed so many times by ebay for sticking up for dishonest buyers that I quit and could not be happier. I cannot wait for a rival to take them down but for now I will take my business elsewhere. Ebay will get it sooner or later that it does not matter how many buyers there are if they have no sellers, so piss off ebay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To seller who says they are quiting, I see you still have over 1,600 items up for sale. Thought you were leaving?

Sure, I dont like the fees. Mine climbed from $400 to $1500 a month, but my sales climbed as well.

Yeah, I dont like the way some customers treat me, but its cost of doing buisness. Customer is always right, kinda like my wife.

Allot of times, I just send a refund when there is an issue and dont even ask for them to return it.

I dont leave nasty comments for my customers under any circumstance. That would be unprofessional. When one is being nasty or I feel trying to rip me off, I take a moment, take a deep breath and try to resolve the issue with them the best I can even if that means me eating dirt.

I pay eBay to advertise my items for sale. They in turn bring customers to me. The imployed all the changes to make it a safer selling place for customers as allot were getting ripped off by bad sellers. Yes, allot of ebay sellers are leaving, the good sellers who follow the rules are staying and have found a way to profit.

I am staying. Its working for me. My sales have dropped in the last month but that is also part of being in business.
