A little help
Jul 8, 2012 08:48 AM

We lost our TRS when we could not make the 3,000 requirement, which is fine, but since ebay has redefined the requirements and now it is only 1,000 we can not get any traffic to our store and obviously we can not regain our TRS status and discount without selling anything.

Long story short, we have tried off ebay promotion, (twitter, facebook, website, etc.) monthly newsletters, blogs, flyers, and I'm sure other things but we just can not drive any traffic to our store. We know times are tight for most people and we are realistic about our sales expectations, we would just like to see the same traffic we had (200-300 visits monthly) instead of the past few months average of less then 20.

So if anyone could take a couple minutes to just look at our store and maybe offer any ideas as to how we could improve our chances of being found we would greatly appreciate it. This is not an attempt to make any sales, we just would like some feedback and possibly some new ideas we could try.

Thanks and have a great day!

1. Putting the brand name in {} make sit unsearchable

2.  The # sign is also unsearchable

3.  Do all your itmes weigh more than 13 oz? I see Priority is the only option you have. If they weigh less than 13 oz why not offer First Class shipping?

4. Maybe have multiple pics of the item.

5. You need to work on your titles, you have a bunch of junk words that you don't need. ( Buyers can choose size from sidebar so you don't need size in the title)

use Twitter from within your listing to expand the reach of your listings

there's a community of ebay tweeters, use the hashag #ebay

Thanks for replying..your help is much appreciated!

Putting the brand name in {} shouldn't affect a search..we've checked on several different computers/mobile devices and our items come up when searched. We do that to make our titles stand out from others..it does seem to help a little because we do get traffic to our ads, just not to our store.

The # and number is just for picture reference for us. If anyone searches it and finds us accidently that's just a bonus :)

Our items average unpackaged close to a pound..pants, jackets, etc are always over a pound. Priority is fast and very reliable with free packaging supplies but it is getting expensive to use. We have been wondering if people really care about the delivery service we offer as much as we do.

We do need more pics, very much agree with you there.

The titles do have some extra stuff but we like having the size and color and brand..and waist and inseam for pants. That we are looking at since your suggestion and we'll see what we can do to clean them up.

Thanks again for taking the time to look at our store and offer some insight..very kind of you and have a great evening!!

Do you mean when I tweet use #ebay as part of the tweet, or make a link for twitter on our ad? Will ebay allow that? Interesting ideas and thank you for replying!!!

ebay already has an automatic Twitter link in all our listings, on the right side, about our seller info

there's a Pinterest and Facebook link too

just click on that it will go to your twitter followers or on your FB wall.

Thank you twang :) We shall do some experimenting with the twitter and ebay hashtag..that does make sense but me (bri of mel and bri) being in charge of that stuff and being twitter challenged, I wouldn't have thought of using that without the suggestion. Thanks again, :)
