I am going to have to keep my mailings at 5 days, which has always been fine with my buyer's.  I live out in the country and work, besides selling on Ebay.  The one day shipping is ridiculous, and most people are not running to the post office or having their items picked up everyday!  Wish this was the old Ebay I started with!!!  Our items, our way!

It's to my understanding thru FeeBay and their "F$%# Up" infamous wisdom that the one day handle only pertains to domestic shipping and not out of country parcels. Hello eBid

I received an email from ebay yesterday saying I had to ship with US tracking numbers to maintain my TRS and the 20% discount on FV fees. It also said I would have to  ship within 1 day .The irony is I am in Canada and ship from here and am unable to obtain US tracking numbers .I can meet the other requirements . I have been on ebay for 13 years and this new requirement is quite possibly the last nail in the coffin for me. Is anyone here in the same situation ?

Been on eBay 14 years, and like most of my friends that sell, we are looking (actually many have started already) at other sites.  The requirements for sellers in good standing are getting rediculous.

 

People with real lives cannot always mail in one day (and the customers don't really demand it either), and I don't take returns unless something isn't as stated (which it always is).  If there was a real problem with something not being right, I would deal with it, but I don't have time or energy to struggle with the constant demands of execs.

 

Instead of attracting more buyers, they are losing sellers.  Shooting themselves in the foot...

Ebay use to be fun selling. Less work, sales was up and both parties are alot happier and satisfied.

Now, too many updates, 500 items is not easy to update and it's start to feel like i work for eBay instead.

One day shipping handle is really rediculous. Ohh by sellers how much difference are you saving doing this? Is it really worth it?

Bummer, I cant make the one day shipping thing either, and I already lost my TRS discount. I have a full time job, so this is a side biz, but thats just it,.. they dont want side business sellers anylonger! The next pain in my azz is the item pictures cant contain photoshop text, so they all have to be re-done. Not sure when they will cancel my items for non-compliance on that one  though. My ebid is opening soon, sorry feeBay but your new policies and requirements blow. However, I will buy china made knock off junk when needed here on ebay as there is now plenty of it,.. and then claim non-reciept of course. lol.

I am pretty sure in the near future, Ebay will require sellers to offer free gifts with every purchase, their first born child and a full refund for every order.  I, like many of you have a full time job as well.  I opened my Ebay store last year and have been rather successful, outside of a few fake bidders who leave negative feedback for absolutely no reason.  Anyways, this one day thing is not going to fly with me.  I enjoy my top rated seller status, but I cannot and will not do the 1 day handling.  It is too much work for one single person who has a job as well.  I do ship most of my packages within one day, but there are the occasion 3-5 day handling as well.  E-bay is just becoming a place for fake Hong Kong sellers and market flooders to have a leg up.  I sell mostly balloons and party decor, and there are a few companies who post thousands of listings at a time that flood the pages with their garbage and their prices are at 500% markup, so they are not selling anyways, but killing my exposure.  This has to stop now.

I was responding to the post directly above mine.

 

"thepastonline"  is in Canada and the tracking requirements do not apply to him.

 

There are different requirements for sellers in Canada.

 

He did follow my advise and start a thread on the Canadian boards.
