I had a "Buy it Now" Deadbeat who changed his mind and still has a 100% rating. I had to go through the aggravation of waiting the 4 day period before I can close the case to relist the item and went to see if this deadbeat had any negative points scored towards him and found out that his 100% rating was still intact. All "buyer only" ID's can only show 100% since it's been impossible to leave a buyer a neg since spring 2008.

You can block buyers that have received 2 UID's in 12 months under your "Buyer Requirements" settings...and continue to aid fellow sellers by completing UID's on future deadbeats so that block may help them too.

Do not attempt to leave a negative comment using the green dot (+) you're limited to utilize for leaving FB. If you do and the buyer reports it, you will receive a seller violation "strike" against your ID.

EBAY really needs to work this out with the buyers as I have had plenty of the deadbeats bid and win my items only to never be heard of again. It's horrible that it seems all about the buyer while the seller is being screwed!

Thanks for the warning!  I have a buyer who I have not heard from that has great feedback from folks and apparently a great history dating back a ways.  Not with me!  She's on her second 4-day and a case has been pulled on her.  I am afraid to give/attempt to give her bad feedback, though.  I just don't want to go there.

This is Business

People in business don't take it personal or fret over the customer that walks away having done you worng...It's business their karma will follow them and the b owner will go home and forget it knowing this is life, and regardless they must function "as if" the Customer is always right..so forget this stupid 100%FB rating the world at large doesn't post it on peope and those in the know understand all of us are perfection in the state of practice..

Hit them where it hurts!!  IT IS ABOUT PRINCIPLES!  Right now I am dealing with a deadbeat bidder who offered $3000 for a piece I had listed and I accepted their offer.  They are a non-profit organization but the account is to an individual and not the non-profit.  My profit margin was phenomenal and legally, we entered a purchase agreement and a commitment to purchased.  Their state is 4 hours from me so filing a small claims lawsuit is easy (I could file locally but by filing in their state, the judgment will be entered and garnishment is achievable) although a fudgment will still hound them.  Collecting it is a long-term process if they do not work for a business with a personnel dept to process garnishments.

Most importantly, once you win a judgment  and you will because they will not appear in court no matter where it is.  Here's the "Karma" part: it will automatically get filed with the 3 big credit reports and all of a sudden, they have a major problem when they try to do anything involving finances.  Case in point:  in 2002 an ebayer misrepresented an item, would not responde to my emails, and I filed a small claims locally and won.  8 years later, I received a call from them.  Apparently, they were trying to refinance their home and guess what, the judgment stopped them.  The original damage was the $105 for the item and $69 for the filing fees.  They had to send me $174 and have me sign a release before they could refinance!!  Again, it is about principles and not money!
