Hi there,

 

Just wanted to ask is there any way that I can open a case after the number of days has passed for actually opening one?

 

The problem is not my fault because the original transaction date item was received after 1 month but when trying the item (toner for epson printer) we noticed that it was not compatible and I contacted the seller and he told me to send it back and they would send the one that was compatible with it and that I had to add $20, I paid the $20 difference because it was a different toner and sent the toner back, they told us that they received it and sent the other one on the same day. We've waited for 1 month because the other one took that much time but didn't receive it and not it s nearly been two months and we also sent 3 messages to the seller and didn't get a reply.

 

Obviously we can't open a case because its been too long. Can something be done?

Assuming you paid using a credit card, you could try to contact credit card company to file a chargeback, although it is very likely to not be successful because the date from payment is far too long.

 

Never trust seller's words for things and always watch for deadlines in case filing and etc, it appears that the seller sent you the wrong item, made you return it and then charged you extra money without sending the correct item (they also lied about it and hoping to buy time which unfortunately succeeded), so you got scammed badly.

 

What you could (and probably should) have done is file SNAD case, return the item with delivery confirmation, show number to Ebay and get your full refund back, then buy the correct toner somewhere else. If the seller really did want to make things right then he/she would have sent you the replacement THEN wait for you to pay for the difference once you receive it.

open a case leave Negitive feedback rightaway maybe that will get seller to refund you. (stole my money and I got no item)
