Final value shipping fees

I just don't get it.  I pay the exact amounts the United States Postal Office requires me to pay to ship  so how does EBay legally charge me more???

I left a few years ago for 2-3 yrs. because of rising sellers costs and recently came back but now it's just more fees with different names.

Greed kills many things and I think Ebay will eventually do itself in with greed.

OMG...I can't believe you just wrote this! Me too! I was scouring the boards for answers to why I charged LESS than actually shipping costs for USPS Priority Mail only to  check my fees and...eBay actually MADE MONEY off my shipping that I took a hit on!! WTH!!!  I haven't sold in several years...now I painfully remember why!!! Also I have a non paying bidder for a $152 item-ebay got $13.73 off of that and I have to jump through hoops to get that back!! I don't want to buyer to pay me now just on principle, I would rather sell it to someone else. Does anyone know if I can still get the FVF back without selling it to someone who has to be forced to pay for an item they willing bid on!??!? I'm totally disgusted with the wake up call I've had today about selling here....

If it's been 96 hrs. (4 days) past the listing end time, open a UID [Unpaid Item Dispute]. The winner then has 96 hrs. (4days) from the time you opened the dispute to pay. If they don't pay, close the dispute and you'll receive your FVF credit.

In April 2011, ebay started it's "List 50 FREE auctions per month PLUS add BIN for FREE too!"...the same day those "freebies" started, the 9% FVF on shipping went into effect also.
