It is crap software on your PC. Remove as you would any other software. (Add/Rmove Programs in Control Panel)

Yea, if you have some kind of toolbar for eBay on your PC then remove it. Otherwise set your pop up blocker on high via your PC security.

I use google chrom, and this is the method I used to get rid of price peep.

1. Click on the little wrench icon on the top right of the page.

2. Click on settings (towards the bottom of the list).

3. On the left handside of the page that opens, there should be a tab called extensions. Click on that.

4. There should be a list of software there. Scroll through and disable price peep by clicking on the trash can.

Folks, I recommend you use a proper spyware remover. I've used SpyBot for years now. This ensures that not only are the active programme files removed, but also the old registry entries (a kind of 'watermark' or 'fossil' of the software) that, should you install PricePeep again, would set your pc back to exactly where it was before. You want everything gone when you remove spyware. SpyBot finds no less than 13 different files associated with that particular programme. Hope that helps. Obviously there are other ad and spyware removers available!

GO TO

TOOLS>>>ADD-ONS

THEN YOU CAN SEE PRICEPPEP ADD-ONS

CLICK ON REMOVE AND RESTART FIREFOX

This does not work, there is no extension installed at all, no toolbar installed, no reg keys with the PricePeep name in them, it doesnt appear to be installed anyplace and spybot does not take it off. Whenever i go on ebay and search for an item it pops up. What will get rid of this?

Things I cannot find:

No root kits

No malware in registry or malicious keys (also did spybot scan)

No Firefox Addon named this at all

No program files folder

Nothing in MSCONFIG

No rogue processes appearing in taskman (all shown)

HOW DOES ONE GET RID OF SOMETHING THAT DOES'NT EXIST?

Hi from Australia.

I too have been plagued by these blessed popups when using firefox.

I tried everything, and in the end uninstalled firefox completely, deleting everything pertaining to it from my computer, then reinstalling it.

It worked!!!

I saved all my bookmarks etc to Google Chrome first, then moved them across to the new Firefox I downloaded.

I'm still unsure as to where it came from, all I know is that it's not there anymore.

Phew.

hi

i found that on fire fox, if you go through tools, add ons then extentions, the price peep will be hiding under another piece of softwere

the softwere mine was hiding under was called 'save as'

double check each extention, take note of the name of them incase you need them back, then uninstal them one by one eventually the price peep will go away when you get rid of the extenion its hiding in

Mine was also hiding under save as but deleted now. Thanks for the advice. Like someone said you can't uninstall it if you don't know what its called.

Same problem. Couldn't find Price Peep anywhere in my control panel or add ons. Found the "Save As" and uninstalled, thanks for the tip. Also found "Coupons Inc" in my plug ins, have disabled those too, and restarted Firefox. So far, all seems well!

Price Peep is an adware infection which is supposed to promote Spam website advertisements through pop-ups. anyhow, to remove price peep malware, you are advised to scan your system with an anti-malware program because this virus will not let you uninstall it via control panel or browser settings. Or, if you wish to remove it manually, then make sure to delete all of its components and registry keys

Against warning from Avast, I downloaded Free Drivers from CNET, a side I've trusted for years.

Never again.

I unchecked things, but they still were on the system.

PricePeep is one. I deleted it everywhere on my system from Add/Remove programs to searching all files and folders. First it hogs up Mozilla to the point I uninstalled the browser.

I go to Chrome to find the same thing. I uninstall Chrome removing all data.

White Smoke is the tool bar where pricepeep shows up along with other stuff I don't want.

Good luck getting ride of it and the white smoke tool bar that showed up with price peep and other stuff.

Completely agree with missy88, although in my extensions it was disguised as "save as"
