Greetings,I can’t understand or begin why PayPal is pulling this shenanigans holding the peoples money with a ridiculous wait period. PayPal has absolutely no logical reason behind putting holds on long time proven good sellers and buyers a like. What does PayPal think... Is there an alternate method to pay the balance thank you?

Ask the seller. If someone asks me if they can pay by money order or check I say sure. After it clears I ship. I haven't had a problem yet.

Sorry for your frustration.

When did you start selling? I've always had an account, sold a few times years ago but recently started to really sell...paypal held my money for 3 weeks before letting it fully deposit. It's been my 3rd month selling, now its letting it go in right away.

It's called "Float". They make interest off of your money and that's how they make money.  If someone had them hold their money for 3 weeks that is a real concern. Typically 3 business days is a standard hold time.

On occassion I will do a large transfer into Paypal to buy goods.  Paypal is not the one putting the 10 day hold on the transfer, my bank is the one doing it.

There is a new policy in place as to how and when Paypal will hold a sellers money.  For the most part it is affecting new sellers with less than three months activity on their account.

Unfortunately it may also be applying to people that sell "occasionally" and three months have passed since their last transaction.

I have been using E-Bay and Paypal for several years.  I have over 750 transactions with no complaints.  Most of the time I have been buying, but also some selling.  Paypal is holding over $800.00 that has been paid into my account because they say that I have not sold enough in the past 12 months.  I think that there is a good basis for a class action law suit for all of the people who are being ripped off by Paypal.  E-bay is complicit in this because of their working relationship.
