I have tried and tried to reach them. None of these numbers work! Dials, but no ring.

eBay cancelled an item I paid for and now I can't get the money back! I can't use resolution center because "it looks like I'm not buying or selling this item"! Customer DIS-service doesn't work (4:45 PDT). This is my only recourse left, prior to contacting an attorney. Paypal cancelled the transaction, but I have no idea where the money went. Paypal account bal is zero with no refund back to the bank account. So where do I go from here???

I'd be calling PayPal...unless you paid using a credit card. In that case, the refund would be posted as a credit to your CC account instead of showing in your PP account or associated bank account. Also, I've read it can take a few days [ 3-5 ] for monies to "show" in a PP or bank account on a refund - if your situation just started today or yesterday.

One of these numbers might work for my problem but maybe somebody knows a better way. The problem is the cost of phoning ebay when one lives overseas. In general, 0800 numbers do not work for us by choice of the company offering the phone service (easily understood because international calls can be expensive, especially for some countries.). The trouble is that we are then told we cannot use this number and we will be charged full, normal, international phone rates for the call if we continue. If I had a normal number I could call using a much reduced rate coming with my phone service, making a $70 call into a maybe $4.00 call (to give a crude idea of the difference in pain). When something goes wrong at ebay (dishonest seller problems, as an example), the call can go on a for some time and easily runs up such a bill. in the process of explaining the details to the ebay representative. Meanwhile, writing is no longer possible for most issues so everything must be explained without the benefit of cutting and pasting in the text which makes the problem clear, from emails with the sales partner at ebay or in the seller's listings or whatever. (Is there really no way to do it the old way, in writing?)

I must admit, having the telephone number behind the 0800 number might be tricky because I believe ebay varies the phone number to route the call to the right expert for discussion. Conversion to the common number may require more than just a table of correspondences.

ebay canceled that number. THEY NEVER WANT TO HELP anyone. There is a seller, Joomieland who had a deceptive auction, photos of 6 skeins of yarn and after I bid he put in the comment that "oh, there is only 1 skein of yarn." he has my money and won't return it. I can't even reach EBAY by phone and as you know, their resolution center is useless. i think ebay like thieves for sellers.
