They obviously went with the wrong people.It's the SELLERS who make them $... which leads me to believe that some of these scammer buyers could even be working for Ebay. This may help in that question:

Almost every sale we made this week did not go through. There were scammers, people out of U.S. winning the item (when our policies clearly state - U.S. bidders only).... There's one woman (owns an antique site/store) who has multiple accounts and is being spiteful to people with whom she started trouble (her feedback contains 2 sellers stating the same fact). She is bidding on our item and not paying (hey only Ebay gets paid for that). Then there's some nut that bids wins an antique sterling silver ring with amber stone (one of me estate sale items), waits 3 days from auctions end writes to me and gives instructions on how to check the stone for authenticity (salt & water test, etc.), or they're not making payment. At the same time that auction ended, another ring auction ended (14k gold, amethyst antique), and they didn't pay. Today makes 4 days, and the system will not allow me to open a case (even though Ebay tells you that you can open a case in FOUR DAYS - They mean FIVE DAYS) GRRRR We give 72 hours, but it doesn't matter cause Ebay does what they want. For example: They tell you that you're allowed to state in your policies that you don't except returns, then when someone wants to return an item (WE ARE NOT A RENTAL STORE), Ebay makes you accept the return. As far as Ebay & Paypal's fees: They're raping us. The amount of money they're taking from us is absurd. It ROSE HIGH my friends. Ebay charges sellers for SHIPPING... SHIPPING!!! Shipping is a bill. They're CHARGING ME FOR A FEE I HAVE TO PAY. I got a nice big cable bill... should I PAY EBAY SOMETHING EVERY MONTH FOR IT??? Oh I WILL report this site to every newsroom I can. They were investigated some years back. They waited till everything quieted down, then started sending out their change of policies emails. Wake up people. If us sellers all move to a different site(s), their bussiness is shot. You can clearly see that Ebay's going down the tubes pretty fast anyway. I don't even care if the other site doesn't have as much traffic. It'll be worth NOT BEING ON THE PHONE WITH EBAY & PAYPAL ALL DAY, where you get transfered to 10 people in 1 call, where you have to tell your story 10 times, then check your blood pressure (after they put you on hold & leave you there indefinite)... and while I'm writing this, I'm sure there's someone who didn't pay OR receieve the item, so there's NO SALE) leaving me a negative feedback right now in this site, this stupid site.
