Wondering where to get products

Wondering where to get products
May 20, 2012 10:47 PM

I have been going to close out sales, gsale, estate sales, and so much more for all my products. But im tired of all the driving and not finding stuff some days. Im really wanting to start buying whole sale and just have the product shipped to me and one listing for 100 products vs 1 listing each thing.

Im kinda scared of the whole worldwidebrands.com and then the liquidation.com and alibaba.com  just seems like its BS, I mean you would be competing from the people in china. I could just see me losing all my money if I use alibaba. I been a seller for about 3 months now and sold over 700 items and want to triple that so I can quit my daytime job and do this full time.

PLEASE HELP ME

I have only just started Ebay, Most of everything I own is from the local mission. It is a small town, and when I first started shopping there everything was dirt cheap, things that were of really great value, antiques, furniture, etc.. Nowadays, they have brought in new people, raised the prices, and keep the nice stuff locked up. They say that people love to steal things. Everybody wants something free right? But anyways I am look for some of the same answers. If Ebay had a memory tool that accredited to the most searched and most frequently bought items, I believe it would attribute to Sellers and Buyers alike. (Personally, I have yet to get a single view or bid. :(()

First, sellers that know how and where to get products are not going to share that information with you.

Second, starting a business without a product pipeline is a great road to disaster.

Well that's just wrong.

I'll share...try the different thrift stores and talk to the managers there...they may be willing to call when items your looking for come in.

There are several surplus catalog companies that specialize in different types of items.  Negotiate.

Every company that has a presence on the web always has a close out section on their sites...some are better then others.

Only crazy sellers give up their actual, useful sources. Anyone can say...surf the web. Futzing around like that can drive you out of business real fast.

Aren't you the eBay socialite, advisor and confident.  I'm sure the time you take to tell people their post is useless is much appreciated.

A company like Firemountain gems occaisionally drops their beads down to $1 a strand.  At that price you can do a $.99 auction and not lose money.

Call me crazy or call me a spurts fan.
