Non-paying bidders

Jun 19, 2009 6:30 AM
Dear fellow confused Ebay seller, I have a better one for you to chew on....I have been a member for eight years. I'm not a power seller, I just like to play around with old Cadillacs. I had a 1976 Eldorado Convertible on Ebay about three weeks ago. No reserve starting bid was $6,080. In my listing I clearly detailed that FIRST BID OWNS and that a $500 deposit was REQUIRED with 48 hrs and that payment in full MUST be made within seven (7) days. When the auction was over I sent the high "bidder" a note of congratulations and an invoice for the $500 deposit. Get this his reply was "I don't send deposits, I'll TRY to get out to see it in three weeks, IF I can, & IF I like it I'll buy it."
I started to investigate what I had to do right away. According to Ebay I had to wait seven days before I could file a non-paying buyer (should be bidder) case. Went through all that exicting process, following all of Ebays requirements. After the non-paying bidder case was closed, Bidder left NEGATIVE FEEDBACK for me. This took my perfect 100% (16) positive feedback rating to 75%. As I said I don't do it alot.
Then I contacted Ebay about the unjustified negative feedback, Ebays reply "BUYERS are allowed to leave negative feedback" No matter where I send Ebay e-mail, no matter how many times I explain Ebay keeps refering to him as "Buyer" So yesterday I notified high bidder who did not follow the terms of the auction that I will be suing him here in Ohio for breach of contract if he does not remove the negative feedback. What I find most confusing is that Ebay seems to protect people like the non-paying bidder instead of those of us who follow the rules.
Would you look at and consider buying a classic Cadillac from someone with a feedback rating of 75%? I wouldn't.
Griff tried to help but, the same thing keeps happening, BUYER CAN DO WHAT HE WANTS, EVEN THOUGH HE BOUGHT NOTHING!!!!!!!!

Bizz, Is that sweat running down your cheek or are you being affected by the Kumbaya song? geesh

Do you need a tissue?

I don't make garage wine, I buy the stuff in the distilled beverage store, then I have to go to another store to by da cheese. I've seen the wine at grocery stores, along with cheese, but it's often overpriced cheap wine, some doesn't even have a cork and then there's that wine in a box...with the easy pour spout, what's up with that?

How come I can't buy Florida orange juice in a large box with an easy pour spout?

Do Florida orange growers know something winers don't?

Someday I hope to find a distilled beverage store that sells good cheese.

I'm still working on building the copper still, got the camouflaged concrete containment area built, ventilation disbursal unit developed, but haven't assembled the copper yet.

I intend to use mason jars instead of corks on jugheads when it's finished.

What da... Are you melting or sumthin?
Quit dripping on da keyboard, your a fire hazard.

But that's just my opinion

here take da tissue before you turn into a buttercup

I think you are on the wrong thread Dog?:^O

"Indy" it is so fkn hot down here right now that I can only work outside for 15 minutes at a time and then come inside for a 1/2hr to cool down:|

Forget a box of tissues, I need a Shamwow if they work?

I take off a soaked tshirt, wring it out and hang it on a line and in 15 minutes its dry;)

Wring out the shorts and its hang dry in 20 minutes.
The pool is prolly 100 degrees.
The cold water coming out of the tap is prolly at least 90 degrees.

Am I complaining?
Heck no and guess what I'm wearing right now as I cool down a lil?:^O

Hi this is me, starting to feel a little salt in my wound, ya'll stole my pitty party and turned into a confusing hard to follow story about space aliens, wait we may be talking about the same thing after all, space aliens who bid, don't look at never see, and leave negative feedback and it's all ok with Ebay even though it's against their stated policy. I think it's called the twilight zone. do do do!

"ya'll stole my pitty party and turned into a confusing hard to follow story"

And that's when we actually sympathize with you. Stick around here a while and you will see how hard we come down on those who we DON'T agree with. They run away like a frightened puppy with his tail between his legs.
