I used to spend hours looking at stuff to possibly buy each week. With this new set up. I spend less than an hour looking at stuff a week. What is your problem eBay????? Switch back to the old way. People are NOT using this new PC system correctly!!!! It is a good thing more people don't know to post here because you would have thousands of complaints instead of just a few. If you don't listen to these warnings from us users you will be in TROUBLE. You will continue to lose good buyers and sellers. Please think about what I am saying and HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND

-Okay,
---It is my belief that there is no "software" and this is user edited or edited by means of feedback.
---Here's one that even the cheapest software knows fits every single AUTOMOTIVE International SV8 and some L4 engines.
a screen capture taken by me when I was searching for an item and decided to see how screwed up this malfunction has come to be - 1968 International 1300C Oil Pan Gasket - http://i53.tinypic.com/28ciy4y.jpg
-FWIW, the red circle is to show how well eBay checks users' contact information. This member is from "48 States Only, United States, United States". I wonder if that can be found on the map created by the same "hardly-known-in-the-industry, software company" that eBay is trying to sell us that they hired... Nice ninja edit on the name of the company BTW
---And we're moving to 2011 already when we don't even have 1958-1989 correct?
---Like I said, if the people lie about what they "know" and they prove their limited education was BS as well, when they're hired to do a job, they should be fired from that job and at most, incarcerated for lying on an application.
---And liars still hold their jobs here in the great US of A... which is why our quality has gone to !@#$.
---Don't force this !@#$ onto me or anyone else. We should be allowed to retain the right to not* use this malfunction. No matter how well you* and your constituents think it is doing. ---Hey self-righteous ones; Once payment is accepted, the seller thanks the buyer by issuing feedback. Once the buyer receives the item, they should thank the seller. Quit crying & get over it. If you think else-wise, Drop the attitude & you will find feedback will be more pleasant.

I can look them up on the regular internet or just buy the part from someone else but I will not buy from these OVER LOAD HOGS if they slam eBay with parts!! I report them all the time. Nothing is done about it.

I contacted one of the well-known mail order catalogs that has chosen to clutter searches with their listings (one example: dozens and dozens of the exact same ad for the exact same oil pan, over and over and over) letting them know that their generic "fits any Chevy ever built" listings were making my search for real Nomad parts tedious and frustrating. They emailed me back, and said if I was having trouble finding Nomad parts, to call their 800 number and speak to someone who could direct me to parts that fit my Nomad Duh, did they not understand that it was their junk that was impeding my search for real Nomad parts? Apparently not. They have the same "I can't hear you" problem eBay has.

Parts compatability has DESTROYED eBay!!!! As both a long time buyer and seller who was searching eBay for several hours a day looking for parts to restore cars and sell many extra parts from my shop, I have now just about given up on it's use. It is flooded with ball joints and seat cover and junk that supposedly fits cars as long as you punch in your make and model to get the exact right part. I have personally spoken to many people who have given up searching eBay completely so I know it is killing eBay as we once knew it. I hope eBay wakes up and reverses this trend before it is too late, but I fear they will just become another made in China junk sight. Tim, aaweld

No, they don't care. There are too many of us "small sellers" contributing to the "flea market" trash. If a seller's not getting charged fees to death, then we get beat up over the DSR's and with best match our listings are hidden, (oops, I mean we're not "advantaged" in search) I have been here 8 years, and have seen many poorly conceived changes happen. Mostly during John "Don't know how"'s reign. I hate to leave too, but it feels more like I'm being pushed off. eBay has changed, not me. And no, they don't care. They "hear" our complaints...but they are not "listening". .

Whoever came up with this idea is not very smart. You are ruining eBay motors. What do you people hire every Dummy you can find????? I am thinking about selling the rest of my stuff somewhere and possible never come back to this site unless something is done soon. I have been on this site almost ten years and hate to leave this site. I guess it is alright for these big companies not to make sure there listings are set up correctly. Thousands of items are being listed wrong. eBay do you even care about us small members???????

Yeah - there is currently a cap around 250 or so for manually adding compatiabilty. There is no cap if you can use PC from Ebay's catalog. I've had a few that I've exhausted my limit on.

eBay, How can you be so blind to us smaller sellers???? This new search system makes no sense. Don't forget some of us small sellers are also buyers. I see many larger companies forgetting to change what there item fits. What's up with that???? Do you think people want to search through all that junky mess you have created???? Frankly, I am getting tired of it and am planning on finding other ways to get rid of my JUNK. Thank you and have a GREAT WEEKEND, Rob

As a small hobby parts buyer trying to restore a few cars you have made a bad buying experience even worse. Motors has been steadily going down hill with the introduction of the New Ebay Motors a few years ago for me. Why change a good thing. My old saved searches don't work, when I try to redo them, I can't save them. When I search, I get 13,000 items instead of a few hundred relevant items. Pages and pages of junk waisting my time. I haven't bought anything in months as I am searching other alternatives. I think you like to change things for change sake not because it's an improvement. Your loosing this customer. Thanks Ebay

Hello Axle, When will we be allowed to post parts & accessories for 2011 models that have been out for some time now. For example, I can't put a 2011 Honda Pilot under compatibility and is in effect causing confusion among some of my customers. Can you please work on this as soon as possible and allow us to post 2011 models! Thank you, Mario

These sellers intentionally have every model car in their listings' PC so that they will get the most exposure, and they have nothing to lose if the listings are interfering with other people's searches and keeping other sellers from getting exposure. I absolutely agree with this post!!!!! EBAY...Do something...NOW!!!!! I have sent many emails to sellers complaining to no avail. It's REALLY getting irritating!!!!! It is actually much worse than just spammers. If you sell, for example POSI units, now all your items are buried in the search results under hundreds of listings for brake pads named "posi quiet" - even though they don't even have the name "posi" in the TITLE. Search for Cadillac Posi under "best match". 25 pages of brake pads are the result with most of the more relevant items buried at the end. This is clearly not a "best match" for the item your buyers are searching for. Everyone else one the internet offers the option of sorting their search results by RELEVANCE. I really think "Best Match" is the problem on Ebay Motors. Parts Compatibility makes perfect logical sense and could work (minus the intentional spammers). Best Match makes NO sense. Best Match gives priority to Top Rated Sellers and auctions with time running out – NOT RELEVANCE to what you search for.
