Hi folks,

I'm pulling my hair out here, as my images keep failing to upload with error code: ME005, or ME200.

Both the Simple and Basic uploader seem to start uploading… then fail. I've used eBay a handful of times before without issue.

Here are my technical details:

Mac OSX 10.6.3
Browser: Safari 4.0.5
Just upgraded to Flash 10
Recently upgraded to Snow Leopard, which has caused problems with other programs
- Pop-up Blocker is off
- Java and Java Script are activated

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Hi folks,

I'm pulling my hair out here, as my images keep failing to upload with error code: ME005, or ME200.

Both the Simple and Basic uploader seem to start uploading… then fail. I've used eBay a handful of times before without issue.

It's not browser related. I'm using Firefox (and Opera & IE on Win 7) and I'm getting the same error/failures.

 

Nothings changed in my browser settings, anti-virus, firewall, root account, or permissions between yesterday and today and I didn't have this problem yesterday.

 

I've also run anti-virus & spy/malware scans, nothing.

 

It's taking 20-30 minutes to upload 6-10 photos per, before one of us gives up. Lately it's been me.

 

My friend on a Mac is getting the same error too.

I hope that fixes your problem, but I'm having the same issue as is my friend half the states away and neither of us are on the same provider.

Since eBay went to the new photo format I've had problems also.  Some of my previously uploaded photos are disappearing from my listings and can't be reloaded on basic or standard uploders no matter what I've tried. 

 

I think this is a glich somewhere in the new photo format and they can't seem to fix it.  It's an eBay glitch so deleting cookies and changing browsers won't help 

 

My Solution:  End your listing and use ebay turbo lister to upload and relist your item and the photos will usually all go through.

 

They may eventually start to disappear again after a while then just end the listing and reload using the turbo lister.

This has to be ab Ebay issue as I have listed and uploaded photos throughout the day.  Now I get this message:

 

The user or security information provided to Picture Services is invalid. Check to see if security credentials have expired. (error code: ME200)

 

Earlier the search was down, now I cannot list...has to be Ebay :(

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM..IT'S BEEN GOING ON FOR MONTHS....EBAY IS NOT ONLY UNFRIENDLY TO SELLERS, THEY ARE UNFRIENDLY TO MACS....THE GARAGE SALE AP, WHICH CUTS INTO THEIR FEES THEY CHARGE YOU MUST HAVE THEM ANGRY AT US...IF YOU ARE A MAC USER, BUY THE APP..IT WILL SAVE YOU MONEY AND TIME....

Same here. Error ME005. I know it's an Ebay issue, I've been sending pictures all morning but can't get an ebay upload for 3 days

So it's 2 years since the first post about this problem

and Ebay still havn't sorted it out yet.

I can upload picture in the motor section but every time i try to upload in toys and games i keep getting the same error

 

There was a Picture Service server error. Please try again later. (error code: ME005)

 

I have been trying for the last three days to upload 1 picture

Ebay keep sending me the same old automated response" delete my cookies and browser history" this is done as habit every time i shut down so talk about teaching your granny to suck eggs

Not sure whether its eBay or not.  Tried Photobucket several times and can't get pics to upload to it either.  No problem with Craig's List though.

This is frustrating for me...eBay is so lousy service.  The CEO is sitting on is fat armchair and is doing NOTHING to help valued customers!

Simon here from ggcycledeals, just had the same problem as all you people & i have resolved this issue by resizing the image.

Give it a go.

Same problem. Pictures will not upload. Never happened before today (Jan 23). A system issue?
