Updated 10/11/2006: We have deployed a fix to improve compatibility of Picture Services uploads in AOL 9 Security Edition. In testing, we confirmed that the fix allows uploads with Basic and Enhanced services at AOL's default software settings. If you use the latest AOL software and continue to have issues uploading pictures to eBay Picture Services please report the issue to Customer Service. ---------- ---------- ---------- We've seen an increase in reports of problems uploading to eBay Picture Services for users of the AOL 9 browser products.
We suggest that AOL 9 browser users disable the TopSpeed accelerator and clear the TopSpeed cache before uploading pictures (or when listing with the Sell Your Item form).
* To turn off TopSpeed: 1. Click Settings on the AOL Toolbar. 2. Click Internet (Web) Options under the letter "I." 3. Click on the "AOL Browser" tab 4. Check "Do not store Web pages."
* To clear the AOL browser cache:
1. Click on either the AOL icon or the Dialer icon on the right of the system tray at the bottom of your screen.
2. Click System Information. 3. Click the Utilities tab. 4. Click Clear Browser Cache. 5. This procedure clears both the TopSpeed cache and the Internet Explorer cache.
If you are using the AOL 9.0 Security Edition, we recommend using a stand-alone browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Firefox) as the security features of this program may block Picture Services and Picture Manager from loading. You might wish to try using a stand-alone browser with any other version of AOL, as well.
