Re: eBay Sidebar for Firefox User Feedback (Windows, Mac & Linux)

Nov 1, 2009 6:42 AM
Hi am using the latest firefox 3.5.4 and the latest ebay app 2.0.2 ..
It is all working fine except for when I preview an item ,the box doesn't seem to be big enough as it cuts all the numbers (all figures downward)
so sometimes a 3 can be could be an 8 or 5 could be a 6 ...
it looks as though you need to move the vertical line across to the left ..if that makes sense

thanks

I can't seem to get rid of "Won" items from my sidebar since the 2.0.2 update.

I used to be able to delete the won items from Ebay, then refresh the sidebar and it would give me the option to remove.. This is no longer happening..

Is there any other way to remove won items from the sidebar.

Great ad-on, thank you!

Had it before on my old computer and loved it. I just purchased a new PC and tried to add it and this is the message I received from Firefox.

Firefox Companion for eBay 1.6.6 could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 3.5.4.

:(

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

Please try installing the extension from the Mozilla Add-ons site. The latest version 2.0.2 and works with Firefox 3.5.4

Why icon of eBay sidebar is so huge in bookmarks toolbar? it has changed height of whole toolbar (I've got all important buttons on bookmark toolbar, not navigation toolbar, becouse I want to keep it smallest s possible, but ebay icon is so large.. same size as in navigation toolbar)
Thanks, S.

The new sidebar is a whole lot better than the old version. The only thing I miss, is the beep, when a new bid comes in. This beep is very helpful, especially when you got a lot of items in the sidebar. So you haven't to scroll always up and down looking for news or to open Ebay pages in order to refresh same.

The Firefox ebay sidebar is misleading, in that it implies that I have logged into ebay - but this is not so. How do I remove the sidebar from my computer?

Thanks, that worked. I am curious though why the newer version is available on Firefox but not EBay? When you go to download it here it just gives you the old version and states it is not compatible after attempting to install. If I didn't find this discussion thread I would have never have known that there was a newer version in firefox add on section. Thank you again for the help.

I just downloaded an update to the ebay sidebar for firefox to my XP computer. Now the sidebar is a really large and overlapping font. Do you see any solutions to this?

Ebay sidebar for Internet Explorer does not work at all. I click the "sign in to Ebay" button and Ebay opens in the main window, but nothing in the sidebar, unlike Firefox which lists the items I'm watching.

I just installed the update for this addon when I was notified (2.0.2) and it is only showing the first item in my watch list and none of the links work... :( How can I fix this?

Thanks.

Re: eBay Sidebar for Firefox User Feedback (Windows, Mac & Linux)

Hi,
am having a couple or 3 problems with the new eBay Sidebar for Firefox (v 2.0.2).

Firstly the list of active watched items is not updating periodically, specifically the current bid price does not update. If you force a manual update it updates OK but the automatic update does not. At first I thought the auto update was not operating but I have since noticed that the word "Connected" at the bottom of the sidebar changes to "Updating..." for only a few milliseconds and no update occurs, but if you force an update it changes for several seconds and bid prices update .

Secondly, when you add an item to your watched list in eBay by clicking the " Watch this item" button in the detailed item listing, this used to trigger the sidebar to update - this no longer happens.

Thirdly, the filtering of items on the Active and Ended tabs - if you filter the Ended list to show, say, only Won items then switch to the Active tab and back to the Ended tab the filtering has reverted to All. Could you please change this to preserve the filtering setting at least during the current Firefox session - like it used to be in previous versions.

I am using ebay.co.uk
OS is Win XP Home Edition SP3
Firefox V 3.5.5
Sidebar V 2.0.2

Best Regards.
Tim
