I have the same problem. I did not have the new toolbar with the wsucky yahoo on it that you cant remove but one day it just stopped working, I tried everything I downloaded the new tool bar and got stuck with Yahoo and I still did not sign me in ang give me my advanced options or watch alert and favorites etc. I think it might be from some antispyware on the computer. I ran the cc cleaner a while before this happened but the crapcleaner did not effect the tool bar immediately. let me know if you ran the cc cleaner or emptried you cache, cookies, history or prefetch folder

I have this problem too! I contacted customer support and they said to make sure "third party browsing" is enabled. It is enabled on my machine but the toolbar still won't log-in. Might be worth checking for you though.

Found the problem! I have AVG firewall installed and this was set to "Allow for safe" from the ebay toolbar deamon. I set it to "Allow for all" and the toolbar is working fine. I've missed the toolbar for the last 6 months or so while I faffed about installing and uninstalling, trying different settings ect....and missed out on a few purchases too! Good luck.

I had a similar problem with the Toolbar. In addition to the "Sign in for Advanced Features," I couldn't get my customized buttons to stay the way I set them.

I eMailed eBay TechSup, and they said that under Toolbar Options, on the Alerts and Sign-in Tab, in the Sign-in Lock area, that "Lock Toolbar to [insert your username here]" needed to be checked. And that "Public Mode Installation should be unchecked.

Hope this helps!

All you need to do is go to the "Creating an About Me page" (Link) and create a page. You don't need to put anything in it, just create it... Hope this helps!

One item that different on mine is on that page, when I try to choose "Lock to..." its blank! There no name there.

I wonder if that is part of the problem...

Also, I found that (I think) and Microsoft turned my firewall on. I turned it off (quicker then trying to set a rule for the toolbar for now) and that made no difference.

Gee this tool bar ver: has got to be the most buggy one ebay has ever come up with! Works then dont, it worked for 2 days before 2-10 and then it dies after the new year roll over to 2010... my advice? delete the buggy thing and gain more window space, PLUS less things to Peve a person off! We can send mankind to the moon but we can not seem to fix a small code error. ?:|

I did the solution mentioned in another post, the account and individaul or business, not changing anything, just pulled this up...and the toolbar went to yellow , did not change anything and it now shows the toolbar and the icon is yellow, but for how long, who knows.
