NIGHTMARE waiting to happen?

Greetings,

We have a bidder who has 100% feedback -- BUT -- has "left for others" lots of negs in the past 90 days -- about 20% of their feedback FOR sellers is NEGATIVE over the past three months.

We have already placed the buyer on the blocked list -- but we have NEVER cancelled a bidders bid before. We didn't know we (sellers) had to provide a "reason". Can we say we want to cancel because they LEAVE negs, but just don't HAVE negs? OR -- can we leave the "reason" section just BLANK and not submit a "reason"?

ALSO -- are there any kind of repercussions from ebay or the bidder when you cancel a bid?

I have only done this once. The reason was I thought there was a conspiracy between two similar ids. I believe I used the reason"risky transaction" Dont know if that option is still available or not
