One of these duplicate listings now states:

Product has been disabled for half.


And the same is true of several other of the duplicate ISBN/UPCs I have clicked on in this thread.

Perhaps staff are now working on removing duplicate listings ...

is a site glitch....
Over 3/4 of the video game consoles are now missing from HDC.
Jeff H & others were emailed about both issues over a month ago.
Video game consoles have been missing for several months.

At least you followed up on some of the duplicates posted...
Its possible eBay Media merged categories, but failed to remove the "dupliate" listing.

Unfortunately, that mess created other problems.

But thanks for the good news (hopefully).

NO OTHER SITE HAS THIS PROBLEM...So why does eBay have mountains of incorrect UPC data??

Yeah, it is bad here.  But this is an old, old thread.  eBay has actually instituted a catalog team, that is actually working.  There are other recent threads about this.

"No other sites" ?  Spend some serious time listing elsewhere,  it might not seem as bad, but believe me no site is immune.  And some errors start at the publisher and get carried on and over, and over.  Just look up "Large Print " some time and see what is listed that way and shouldn't be.  Or look at the number of Mass Market PB's on Amazon that are actually Trade PB's.

Okay...and I understand that not ALL sites are immune but wouldn't you agree that at least a UPC with a SIMILAR product would be better?

 

The example I posted is not even remotely close. It's not like a typo was made or something. The UPCs don't even remotely match!
