Reports of "you've got a sale" emails not being received.
Does anyone else have this problem? I am not receiving emails that I have a pending order. I luckily was checking my account and found 9 orders to be mailed.
Please folks, this happens occasionally.....
check your sales page once a day

ive noticed while shopping, I will click on an item and it will say no longer available, check back later, then I look and the seller has been NARU, how long could it take to just remove those items so we can see what is the next best price available, etc?

moviesplusmorestore : This is an ongoing complaint. Especially since there has been a conserted effort to report listing violations and page hogging. For some reason the accounts are suspended but the items not removed. Most crowding first pages amoung the other problems this creates. Please be sure you also sending this problem to service@half.com. Hopefully, the more we bomb them with reports, the sooner something will be done. Note, sooner in Halfdot terms could mean weeks, months.

Reported by nexus books 8/17
It has been most frustrating to repeatedly report errors in the Half.com catalog, and have those requests ignored. But this time, I got a response. My listing was cancelled!
The catalog item: ISBN 031298605X.
The error: Title is incorrectly listed as Strike Force Charlie.
The response: We appreciate that you chose Half.com to list the following item(s):
12594017301 Superhawks : MacK Maloney (Paperback, 2004)
However, your listing(s) was in violation of Half.com policies. We would like to take this opportunity to let you know what part of your listing(s) is not permitted.
The item description you have written contradicts the quality rating you have selected.
The only contradiction was that the catalog title was incorrect!

Viking followed up on 8/17---still unable to check out..see the appropriate thread for further info.
Unable to Buy on HalfCom Credit Card Decline Message
vikinghaus (538 ) View Listings | Report Aug-11-06 15:32 PDT
We cannot complete your order due to the following reason:
Your credit card issuer has declined the charge. Banks will often decline charges if the name, expiration date or zip code you entered does not match the information on your billing statement.
To place your order, you must:
Update your credit card information
It's been a couple months since I was able to buy on HalfCom. I have already contacted my bank about this, and they are NOT declining charges. I reviewed the address with them, and it matches. HalfCom recently responded that it's a router problem that needs correction.

A few days ago people were receiving multiple emails for the same sales. It seems to be happening once again. I already received THREE emails for the same order tonight. Watch for this and compare your sales to your emails!!!

FYI
I paged through my store listings this morning. Five(5) out of 7 items I sold 8/14 were still showing, when I clicked on them they were no longer available, and couldn't be pulled up under Manage Inventory. When I returned to my store the one from the first page was gone but others are still there. Who knows how many customers are getting frustrated with "ghost" or "teaser" listings! I'm also concerned that somehow they will become "active" and sell again causing another customer relations issue. (Reported...wonder what form email I'll get this time ... )

kunique, I had that happen last month. The sold item would be on the main page, but when I pulled up my entire inventory, it would not be there. However, I could search each book one at a time, in inventory. Try this: go into my inventory and type in the ISBN number for one sold item and see if just that one item pulls up. If it does, you can delete it. Do each one individually. Let us know if this works, or not. good luck

thriftycart, last night, my sale emails were delayed, and today I am getting duplicate ones. When this happened a few weeks ago, sellers could not rely on the emails, or the account alert on my account page that alerted you to the numbers of sales that needed to marked as shipped. Do not rely on either to check for sales. Always go into the sale detail page to look for new sales. Also having reports of sold inventory re-appearing. So, all sellers should check the total inventory number Half as listed against the total number the seller's records show.

I am now experiencing techical difficulties posting. Board pages freezing up and locking me out. Having to close windows, reopen and sign in again.

nacoketsuna:
Thanks for the suggestion, however, items show as found in inventory search, but not available to edit - like when they're in a shopping cart. I'm going to keep watching inventory because I'm afraid they could pop back in. Especially if Half is playing with the system to fix something else! Mainly posted so other sellers would be alerted to the potential problem(s) and also as partial explanation of the complaints about items not being available at the lowest price(s) shown on searches or wish list. After 4 days sold items should be gone from the store listings.

well, the constant multiple "you've made a sale" emails for one sale are back -- have had 6 emails for one sale so far today and 3 for another also, anyone else upset about people who list much older editions of books on the current editions sale page?? I have a book listed which is a 1997 latest edition, but over 7 people have editions of the same book going back to 1963 listed on the 1997 edition page... of course their copies are DIRT cheap so when I list my copy it doesn't show on the main page but you have to go searching for it... this is very unfair!!!! can these people be reported????
