I hope it doesn't have to be a healthy one. This is my kids favorite and it does take a while to fix. It also takes quit a bit of oil. Fingersteaks I deep fry them at 350 until done. Make sure to turn them over. 2 cups flour 1 tablespoon garlic salt 1 teaspoon baking powder 2 eggs 1 can of beer or you can use 1 cup of milk (I found beer taste better) Mix the above in a bowl until smooth. Cut your steak into cubes and pour into the mix. Then dip into your grease and cook until done, make sure you turn them over while they are cooking. My kids just love these they are always after me to make them, but like I said they can take a while to make but they are so good. Now I know what I am having for dinner.

got to try that one sumo sounds good.. here is one of my favorites and don't turn your mose up until you try it...make serving for four..what I like is you really can adjust this to your taste. German Hot Noodles Salad 2 cups wide egg noodles 4 bacon strips(I cut mine up before fry cuz I don't like breaking up the bacon after I fry it) 1/4 cup chopped onion 1 tab sugar (more if you like and you can add a little more later) 1/4 tea salt 1/8 tea dry ground mustard (I like just a little more) 1 tab all-purpose flour 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup cider vinegar 1 cup sliced celery 2 tab chopped fresh parsley Cook noodles according to package direction. In skillet cook bacon until crisp (crumble if you didn't cut it up first) set aside. Reserve 1 tablespoon drippings in the skillet; saute onion until tender. Stir in sugar, flour, salt and mustard; add water and vinegar. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly, about 2-3 min.. Rinse and drain noodles; add to skillet. Stir in celery and parsly; heat through. Note: I like to mix more bacon grease with the noodles before I add them to the skillet but is because I like bacon favor...also you can't use bacon bits as a subsitute is just doesn't work, I tried LOL ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

ophant this recipe would help you get over your cold...it is a system cleaner, my son and I eat this every so often to get rid of toxin build up in our system... 1 large can of V8 juice (I mean the largest can you can find,I like the piante one for punch heee) 1 large bag of frozen vegs. 1 small bag of cauilflower (this is used in place of potatoes) 2 buillion cubes (beef) 1/2 to 1 large can of water(depends how thick you like your soup) 3 to 4 bay leaves depending on how much you like no salt but you can add pepper just throw is all in a pot and cook... use no meat or starch cuz that will defeat the purpose of the soup... now when you want to have it for a reg soup use meat and potatoes (you can omit the cauilflower) and add salt and pepper to taste. you can also throw in instant rice or broken up fettucini noodles.. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thanks for all the great recipes! It will be fun to try some new ones. Here is one of our favorite crockpot recipes. Fruited Flank Steak Serving Size : 6 -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 1 1/2 lb flank steak 2 cups mixed dried fruit 2 tablespoons orange marmalade 2 tablespoons brown sugar 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 1 12 oz beer 2 tablespoons cornstarch 2 tablespoons cold water cooked rice Place whole flank steak in a slow cooker (crockpot). In medium bowl, combine dried fruits, marmalade, brown sugar, lemon juice, ginger, cinnamon, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and beer. Pour over meat. Cover and cook on LOW for about 7 hours. With slotted spoon, remove meat and fruit; keep warm. Turn pot on HIGH. In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in cold water. Stir into juices in pot. Cover and cook on HIGH 15 to 20 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Spoon over warm meat and fruit. Serve on a bed of rice. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES : Apple juice can be substituted for the beer. In my crockpot, 7 hours on low left the meat falling apart and very tender. Enjoy! K.

dd, betcha that would work with a pork roast too although less cooking time, doncha think?
I used to make beef tournados all the time but it's been a while. The flank steak takes a good half hour to prep with the trimming and the pounding and the seasoning. Then the cooking of the bacon and layering with crushed garlic and fresh parsley.
I have one recipe that sounds so silly but is always a hit at parties as a horsdeurve(sp?).
A jar of good, crisp, fat dill pickles.
A pkg. of cream cheese, set aside a tablespoon worth.
Tabasco sauce
A package of thinly sliced boiled ham, rectangular slices
Fresh, coarsely ground pepper
A tablespoon or so of good thick honey
Mix up the cream cheese with honey, tabasco and ground pepper. Just a healthy squirt of the tabasco..too much thins the cheese so it won't harden when re-chilled.
When the mixture is reasonably spreadable, lay out one slice of ham and spread it to within an inch of the ends with a thin layer of the cheese mixture. Grind pepper over the mixture. Place the pickle at one end of the ham and roll it up using a bit of the reserved cream cheese on the far end to "glue" the ham sealed around the pickle.
Repeat with the rest of the pickles and then put them in the fridge for an hour or so to re-harden the cheese.
Remove from fridge and quickly slice the roll-ups with a very sharp knife into 1/4" slices. Place on a tray you have lined with lettuce leaves (or they stick to the tray) and return them to the fridge until ready to serve.
It's the most wonderful combination of flavors, hot-salty-sweet-sour.
I've experimented with substituting pre-sweetened Koolaid mix(red) for the honey (when I messed up and put in too much honey and tabasco and the cheese mix wouldn't re-harden). Colorful and tasty but I like the subtle honey against the pepper and tabasco better. Always have a small chunk of plain cream cheese in reserve to thicken the mix as well as glue the ham closed around the pickle.
BTW, dry off the pickles before wrapping.

I traded recipes for pork tenderloin with my meat man last year. We both loved each others recipe. You know the pork tenderloins that are cryovac packed, usually a pair of them. His recipe was so darn simple. Lay out the tenderloins side by side in a pan. Using your finger, poke holes in the top of the meat and stuff the holes with pimento-stuffed green olives. Roast as usual 400 degrees for maybe 25-30 minutes. I drizzled mine with garlic flavored olive oil before roasting. Tip.. push the olives all the way down into the meat or they will pop out as the meat shrinks while cooking. Allow the roasts to rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing and arranging on a platter. My recipe uses dijon mustard, pepper, fresh rosemary (my rosemary bush is enormous), and capers and olive oil. Mix all but the drained capers (about 2 tbsp of capers)and brush on the tenderloins (tie the loins together first) My guess is a jar of dijon mustard and three tbsp of good olive oil and about a tablespoon of fresh rosemary.

Hi all, Dottie: Yes, I bet a pork roast would be really good with the fruit! I'll have to try that. This is so funny that you gave that party recipe! I have been making that for years and I don't cut them. I take them diving with me instead of a sandwich! Absolutely adore them. Somehow our family started calling them "herkleburgers"! Yum, now I want one! K.

Hannah Banana Drink Serving Size : 1 Categories : Beverages 1 shot coconut rum 1 shot creme de banana 1/2 cup orange juice 1/4 cup pineapple juice Pour the coconut rum and creme de banana over ice in a large glass. Fill glass with orange juice and pineapple juice. For added punch you can add a small amount of white rum.

In my house, the seeds and gunk go right on a cookie sheet and sprinkled with coarse Kosher salt. Bake in a 250 oven for as long as it takes to get them crispy, stirring them occasionally. Butternut squash seeds get the same treatment. Ya gotta fight in this house to get any away from me.
