Do I need to have 100 international sales in the last year to get my 20% discount on only the sale price, not on the shipping?

Hi goodsound,

To be eligible for the 20% discount awarded to Top-rated sellers, you need to have 100 transactions with U.S. buyers that total $3,000 in sales over the past 12 months. And, yes, the Final Value Fee discount would be applied to the item price.

Thanks,

Mikka
Thanks Mikka, and that 20% discount with my 100 US sales would also apply to my international sales?

The 20% discount would apply to all your listings on eBay.com, regardless of whether it was purchased from a US buyer or international buyer.

Thanks,

Mikka

We get a decent amount of international buyers. I assume most of these buyers go to the Ebay US site and do their search.....because I don't think US sellers' listings show on the international Ebay sites unless you have clicked the international visibility thing.

So let's say you are below standard on global standards....that is where I am confused. Does it mean when international buyers come to the USA site and search....that those sellers who are below standard will be demoted in that search on the US site?

Or does it mean you are demoted IF you go to ebay.uk or ebay.de and actually list on their sites? Don't those sites have their own standards already for US sellers?

In other words...how can Ebay demote listings of those who are below standard globally if the listings don't even show up on international Ebay sites in the first place?

I mean does selling internationally mean selling on international Ebay sites....or does it mean selling on the US site with shipping to any country (even if the listing won't show up unless the buyer comes to Ebay US)?

Can you clarify Nino?

As long as the subject of DSRs is on the table, I think Ebay needs to give us more information when we receive a 1 or a 2. When we, as Sellers have done everything possible, such as using actual shipping costs, posting them on the labels, no handling charges, then we should not be penalized with a low DSR and/or given a why or who, so we can avoid dealing with them.

Same goes, when a Seller lists everything in the description about and item, photos, etc. and gets a 1 or 2 as not as described from a buyer. This is not fair.

I don't care if the buyer is domestic or international. How on earth is a Seller supposed to improve, if they have NO IDEA of what it is that needs improving, if anything.

Ebay needs to block or not record low DSRS where it is apparent that they are undeserved. I had one, where the customer gave me a rating meant for another seller. Even with proof, Ebay refused to remove it.

The 20% discount helps me remain competitive, I live in fear of losing it through some unfair feedback. The DSR needs to again take into consideration the Sellers. Thank you.

Hi 312motoring,

If a member is not meeting minimum standards in any market, they will be demoted in that market. Additionally, but not always, that member's ability to list in that market may be blocked as well.

Thanks,

Don
