We recently acquired a set (4) of these Johannes Andersen chairs in a darker walnut/rosewood stain. We are going to be recovering the seats as they are trashed. My problem is a table pairing. I was all set to get a tulip/Saarinen style table, but come to find out that my husband can't stand them. Too "Star Trek" for him as he puts it. I want something simple, preferably a pedestal base so as not to detract from the chairs. Any suggestions other than a tulip table? Nothing too high end as we do have teenagers and it will take some wear and tear. Already have dark wood floors so thinking not wood? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
