Hi all,

Please keep our guidelines for this board in mind when you post.

1. The purpose of the board is to discuss upcoming and current natural disasters and weather related emergency conditions. It is our hope that by becoming informed about the conditions that may affect your area, you will have time to make preparations.
2. Please don't solicit help or assistance on this board.
3. Please visit our Natural Disaster Resource board for a list of agencies that provide emergency assistance or for other helpful information.
4. Any post not related to weather (tornado, hurricane, earthquake, etc) or other natural disaster will be either removed asap or if time permits, moved to the above board.
5. This board is maintained by volunteers as a public service to other eBay members.

Regards,

perhaps EBAY needs to be alert to weather & power emergencies themselves! some years ago the entire east coast lost power.

i was locked into a bidding war when the black-out occurred. MILLIONS of us couldn't bid. auction ended while i was in the dark.

Ebay cheated both buyers & sellers by not freezing all auctions, then extending auctions for 7 days after the power came back on.

disgusted, i never came back for 5 yrs, how many others???

hhhhmmmmmmmmmm,

I think I had stuff for sale back when that event occured.

I wasn't paying attention. I remember watching it on TV.
It looked very bad.
All those people walking for miles, for hours.
i bellieve some elderly people died.

The last thing on my mind were my stuff for sale on eBay.

Maybe eBay does not have workers working around the clock to moniter such emergencies.

If they are smart, they would have learned thier lesson.
