No longer receiving emails of cleared echeck.....

I used to get these....

But the last two times an echeck has cleared, I did not get an email from Paypal telling me that it has cleared

I have not changed any settings or anything.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Gosh. It has been so long since I got an e-check that I probably wouldn't know if something has changed. Does the icon change in myEbay?
That would be annoying and might be worth a phone call to paypal.
The only thing I have had a wee bit of a problem with lately is yahoo tossing things into bulk mail that don't belong there.

Thanks Radine, I havent had an echeck in a long time, but got one a few weeks ago, and just by chance went to Paypal to transfer money, and saw that it had cleared.

This one was to clear yesterday, and Bill was in Paypal this morning and saw that it had cleared...no email........did not think to notice the icon. I will be sure and check that if we get another one.

I may give Paypal a call later about it.

I have Paypal in my contact list, so none of their emails are sent to spam.

I have no idea why I have stopped getting the notifications when it clears.

It was two days after the echeck had cleared on the first one that I went to Paypal......that is not good. lol

I was waiting on the email from them, so I could ship.

I have paypal on my list, too, but it doesn't prevent a misdirected email once in awhile....both directions. Spam and not spam. Yahoo is very good, but not perfect.

I was reading on the PayPal Board quite recently complaints that sellers are not receiving the e-mail when the check clears.

The consensus of the replies was not to rely on getting an e-mail when the check clears.

Sounds to me like it is best to check your PayPal account regularly. A pain, I know!

Check check check. I try not to count on one source.
Bren, did your myEbay selling page change waiting for payment to need to ship?

Still might be worth a call to paypal if others are having the same problem. I guess I don't know how timely the notifications are because I check on the day the e-check was expected to clear.

Lucy, I don't think checking the paypal account is that much of a pain, but I use paypal shipping. Different strokes for different folks.

And just when you think you have the routine down to a science, somebody will throw a monkey wrench into it. LOL

I don't either Radine, I guess I was just using a friendly turn of phrase that seemed appropriate, but maybe wasn't. I don't want newbies thinking it is a pain either. :-x

At what point did the half color $ sign change to full color to indicate the payment in your My eBay?

Hi Breniee,

I receive my eCheck notifications without a problem. As a matter of fact, I received one this morning. With that in mind, perhaps there is a preference setting needs to be checked in your PayPal account.

Just like on eBay, PayPal offers several automated email notifications to keep you updated on your account activity.

You can view and edit your notification emails in your account profile. Here's how:

1. Log in to your account.
2. Click Profile at the top of the page.
3. Click Notifications in the Account Information column.
4. Check or uncheck the boxes according to your preferences.
5. Click Save.

Are the Payment Notifications enabled?

Sorry, I didnt check the status on myebay page, I have always relied on an email from Paypal to let me know when the echeck cleared.

My bad...I will from now on. lol

I am in Paypal most everyday, for printing labels and such, but all my stuff was paid for pretty much right away this week, so I didnt go there yesterday.

I had a lot going on with the two 'kitteh's getting fixed and cleaning up the laundry room to put 2 baskets down for them to sleep in....(which they never got in)!!

Nate, I had already checked to see if my notifications had somehow changed, but they are still the same..

here is what is checked under payment notifications..

Payment Notifications Email:
I receive money with PayPal
I request money with PayPal
I receive PayPal Website Payments and Instant Purchase

Those are the only options there are....
