Why was I blocked?

Tonight I tried to bid on an item from seller prettykitty20034. Much to my suprise it said that she had blocked me! I went back and checked, and I don't think I've even bid on her items before. I don't have any neg or neutral feedback, and only 4 pos, but I didn't see anywhere that she had a stipulation on # of fb you must have to bid. I asked her twice *nicely*, but she won't even dignify me with an answer. I know you guys will probably tell me to let it go, but curiosity's just got the better of me! Are there other reasons for getting blocked that I don't know about? Thanks!

Sorry to hear it, arabsndobes. I've seen sellers cancel a (0) feedback user's bid, but in this case, it sounds like you were blocked before bidding. Do you possibly have another ID that has dealt with this seller before? I hope she responds to your inquiry.

One possible answer to you question is: a lot of sellers will not allow new buyers with a certain amount of feedback to bid on their items.

From their past history sales of no payment, they just gernally lump all new buyers in this NO BIDDING!

I do not agree with this, for I have had powersellers purchase items and not pay for them. I feel everybody should have a open chance to bid on items listed for sale.

What I suggest instead of buggin the seller why, send the seller an email stating if you are allowed to bid, you full intended to pay for the item according to their guidelines.
If the seller does not respond, then move on to the next item. There are a lot of listing out there, and seller are very competive, there are sellers out there that will not lump you into the NO Bidding Zone.

I also welcome new buyers to my auctions, yes I do get some that do not pay, but then again, I have a lot that does, and with good customer relations between us, I have built up a repeat customers base!

I agree with JC fully, but I would add that in the email make sure you ask that they not take your word for it but to look over your FB and see that you have completed 4 transactions as both buyer and seller and have had no problems.

This does not appear to be a transaction in which the bidder was "cancelled" but rather "blocked" previously.

Perhaps OP can clarify the matter, was you bid cancelled or were you being blocked from bidding? There is no feature that can block a low feedback user, a seller can only cancel your bid if they wish not to do business with a new user.

Curious now as to which it is.

Hi guys, thanks for the input. She did reply and asked my name and where I was from. I told her and she said "thought you were someone else. Sorry for the confusion". I do not have another ID and have never dealt with her before. BTY I was obviously "pre-blocked" because when i tried to place A bid it said seller had decided I could't participate in their auctions, etc. Thanks!

I myself am new to ebay and have paid right away on my items that I have one. I tried to bid on a ring today & was blocked by the seller....I just don't get it?

I myself am new to ebay and have paid right away on my items that I have won. I tried to bid on a ring today & was blocked by the seller. I sent her an email and no reply?....I just don't get it? BTW-I did read her requirements and I met them all.
