Strange error not letting me sell items

Strange error not letting me sell items

Hi all, I'm based in Japan and when I was trying to list items for sale I kept getting the following message.

 

"We're unable to calculate your shipping cost based on your current item location. Please enter a valid item location which includes the City, Zip Code and Country.If your item location is not within the US, please select flat rate shipping.

 

So I selected "flat rate shipping" and I STILL got the same message. What am I doing wrong? I've been working on this for 2 hours trying everything and it is really frustrating. Thanks in advance for any help with this!

eBay depends on the USPS for calculating S&H costs.

They do not have a connection with the Japanese PO so eBay cannot make that calculation.

You'll have to do that through eBay Japan.

And if your registration is with eBay US you'll probably have to change that too.

Take pictures as if there is no description.

try listing on ebay japan to see if same error message.
