I sold an item on ebay its been over a month and no payment and I had I already shipped it. i got no responses from the buyer and the buyer is a high rated buyer and seller. I went to open a case and it says that ebay gave the money back to the buyer. I never got a notice on why. From either ebay or the seller. What do i do now? Who can I email to get a better understanding on this. I am new to selling on ebay and I don't want to become a bad seller. please give some insight so I can prevent it from h

If I am understanding right...

1. You sold the item.

2. You shipped out an item that wasn't paid for.

3. Buyer got free item.

NEVER EVER SEND OUT ITEMS WITHOUT GETTING PAID FIRST!

The 1st thing to check is to make sure your e mail address for receiving pay pal payments is correct.  You do have a pay pal account, right?   If your e mail for  receiving funds isn't the same as the e mail in your listings, the money may have been "unclaimed" and eventually returned to the buyer through no fault of his own.

NEVER ship an item until you ACTUALLY see the $$ in your pay pal account.

The only reason why I sent the item was because the listing said that it would be receved to the buyer within such an such date. I didnt know at the time that pay pal put a hold on the funds becasue im a new seller. This is my first time selling in 10 years. I havent even gotten any feedback yet either from my sales... So I thought I did something wrong and plus the buyer will not return my emails... Luckly its lesson learned and I didnt lose on a lot of money...

Do I understand this right??~~The buyer paid but there was a hold on your $$ because you are a new seller.  You shipped the item but the 21 days passed and you didn't inform ebay that the item had arrived and been received by the buyer by giving ebay the tracking/DC number to prove delivery so the $$ were automatically refunded to the buyer??

When you're a new seller and there are holds on your funds from auctions, you need to download the tracking number of the item you sent and inform ebay that the buyer has received his item.  You have to have used DC/tracking to prove delivery.  Once delivery is proven they will release your funds to you.

You need to read up on the info from ebay on how the holding of funds works for new sellers.  That's the 1st thing you need to do.
