not offering a return policy

As a new seller and one that will be selling most items under $20.00 am I hurting myself by not offering a return policy. I do my very best in being accurate in description and with pictures. I read all the nightmares that sellers encounter with the return policy. I can certainly understand needing this policy when more money is involved. Thank you in advance to anyone that can enlighten me on this.

As a buyer I don't usually worry, if item listed has return policy. If it is as described, I buy to keep it. If not as described Ebay will be on my side. KWIM?

As a seller, being Top Rated Seller (sometimes I wish I never earned thos thing ]:) ) I do offer 14 day return to my buyers, well....I have no choice, if I want my TRS discount.

In your case I wouldn't worry too much about missing on something by not offering returns. Also you can offer returns, but buyer will have to pay shipping both ways.

not offering returns is an option.

but remember if buyer files a complaint they will get their $ back

and if buyer leaves negative feedback with no comunication, rember you already comunicated with "no returns"

age is a measure of time , wisdom is the measure of how we used that time

Never thought about that leaving negative feedback because I have already stated no returns. Hmmmm, will think this through. Thanks to all that answered. Wish selling could be as pleasant as coming to these boards to ask questions. ;)

only ever had 1 nightmare return that turned into a positive feedback miraculously...but dont forget too that a buyer can leave a negative feedback even if you take the return and refund shipping. some negs are worth taking though. when i see a neg in a sellers feedback i usually follow it to the buyer and look at them in toolhaus. i can decide from there who i more trust.
