Offer a return and Ebay Buyer Protection is no good for sellers

I had a buyer that purchased an item from me.  It was a Bio Fuel Pump.  He stated that He contacted the manufacturer and that they stated the item was stolen or counterfiet.  I advised that it was not and that He could return it to me and I would give him a full refund,  No Questions.  He contacted Ebay customer support after I stated I would take it back and they have sided with him,  Given him a full refund from my paypal,  but now I dont get my item back.  How can an honest seller deal on Ebay with this kind of thing going on.  This is the second time I've had something like this happen from a Buyer.  So I'm just very sick and tired of Ebay Buyer Protection program.

I'm curious.  Did you offer eBay any sort of proof of authenticity, such as a receipt from your source?

FWIW, sellers who phone ebay during the dispute seem to regularly have better outcomes.

ebay , most times, doesn't require fake items to be returned. they ask buyer to destroy them so sell won't rip ff another buyer with it.

since mfg said it was stolen or fake ebay decided in this manner, nothing more you can now do but contact mfg.

So Ebay will take the bidder's word as Gospel that the item is stolen or fake.  Let me see now, I could use a new IPoD  or an Ipad....

Just kidding.  My parents raised me to be honest.  I would contact that bidder and demand that the item be returned.  SEnd him a label.  Call him and tell him that he shouldn't be "holding " onto stolen merchandise.  SEe if this will get him to return the item back to you.

first the mfg said it was fake/stolen, so ebay accepts that.

"demanding" anything only gets negative feedback, not  good advice
