Okay, I placed a bid on an item. A person comes in and bids until she figures out my high bid. Once she finds my high bid she retracts her bids. What the heck is all that about? I'm a little upset over this. It's almost what I consider cheating. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Danette

She left me feedback already. If you look back this transaction has been a total nightmare. I have been in contact with at least four other buyers that have not received their goods either and they have also filed claims. I don't think she ever intended to ship anything. I feel if I leave her feedback that maybe it might save someone else grief. If she was doing an honest business she would respond to my e-mails. She has not responded since March 4th when she stated she shipped March 3rd. Her response was two word "Yep yesterday" to my question as to has this shipped. She never has provided a tracking number! If you look at my transaction with her the whole thing looks ridiculous. I have never seen one person bid on an auction until they find a persons max bid and once they find it retract the bid 30 seconds later and state they couldn't contact the seller. What does that sound like to you? I wish I could have saved a fellow boardie from having to go through this same experience. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Danette

Danette,

There is hope for you! I actually received that package that was promised. It was mailed later than promised but it did arrive. Good luck.

Danette, it is for reasons like this that there are so many honest sellers on Ebay that open up one ID for buying and a separate one for selling. {ok, although I preach this a lot-- I have not actually done it....} You may want to consider this, why let one cruddy seller ruin your reputation as an honest person? That stinks!

LG3, I am not concerned with her ruining my reputation at all. I have nothing to hide from anyone and would welcome anyone to question me on any of my feedback. I believe in honesty to the point that I have been known to shoot myself in the foot. I don't want to ruin her either. This thread was not started to damage her in anyway, it was started because I am eBay dumb and don't know how to go about getting my money back or even how to report things that are wrong. You all have been very helpful and I so appreciate the information in which I have received from you all. I know in my heart in the end I will win, even if it's just gaining a lesson well learned. LG3, I wasn't thinking you were. I know what you were saying but didn't want anyone else to make assumptions. I'd put a smiley face here, but as noted before I am computer stupid. You can give me a spreadsheet any day to create it's the easy stuff that stumps this chump! Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Danette

You could use the ebay smilies if you want a quick smiley Danette. Use the dropdown smiley menu there. If you just want a quick smiley you can post : ) only put them close together with no spaces between to give you this :) The only others I remember without using the dropdown menu are : ( =:( and : - x =:-x

tee hee Danette. :-x But do you not have the dropdown menu in the little box where you type your posts? It's at the top left hand corner next to the Bold, Italic, etc. buttons. You can click on that smiley, it's right there at the left hand corner, and a whole bunch of smileys drops down. Just click on the one you want and it will be inserted into your post. One of my firewall thingies was interfering with that smiley list so I got rid of it. I like the smileys.

It's not there, so I guess my firewall is hindering it. It don't suprise me because about every two weeks (or every update) it shuts my e-mail down and I have to reconfigure it. I hate Norton! Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Danette
