Can things really get any worse?
First off they empower scammer buyers who can use all available loopholes to get free items. International buyers need tracking? That's all and good until tracking stops at Customs in the country of destination. They can buy anything they want and win every case for their received stolen goods. Buyers can be registeres as living on one country and also have their primary address in a different country to bypass your shipping preferences. Ebay doesn't care, they already have your listing+FVFs so who needs to care about you?I also was about to lose a SNAD case for an item that was just short of $2000 until the ignorant buyer decided to try to sell the item on ebay showing off the serial number. If it wasn't for the scammer's impatience & ignorance, eBay was ready to refund them all my hard earned money at the drop of a pin.
Do we even need to get into the DSRs? If they need to have this rating it should be a minus 1 for unhappy, a neutral star for satisfied but not really pleased, and a +positive star for a positive expereince. We all knoiw the DSR system is arse if the buyers don't understand that 4 stars is a bad thing.
Ebay customer service when a red flag is obvious. If a fake buyer is bidding up your items for competition reasons or revenge, you'll be on the phone for hours and hours no matter how much proof you have. You can hand over a red-handed scammer on a silver platter with evidense piling so high there's a mountain and they will not take any action to solve the situation or NARU the FAKE/Bad buyer.
Ebay will require that you sell ten billion items a year to receive discounts, but they don't care if you are a small large dollar seller. You can sell $20,000 dollars worth of items in a year, but you are scum unless you've sold at least 100 $1 auctions for
Hello-Kitty pencil erasers.
I wish the best of luck to eBay, because whatever it is that eBay is now, it's sure not what we signed up for nor what they buyers expect.
This IS eBay. This is how they are, and will continue to be.
