Form fields not saving my search inputs.  No category listing to chnage categories.  Yes, I'm aware of the drop down menu on the elft.  Are you aware choosing a new category engates all previous search options?  Wya to m ake searching more coplciated.  I don't know why you hate your users, but please quit lying and saying you've listened to us and made searching simiple and easier.  You only listen to peopel who don't know what they're doing. You've only made searching harder and more complicated.  hence why we're complaining, not complementing.

I'm Guessing that this control over what you see in search is how ebay is going to penalize the sellers who cannot meet the new standards  for  1 day shipping  --  delivery tracking   AND  the rediculous 14 day return policy standards.

I did a search tonight for an item that I know has at least 50 and probably 100+  results  and I could only see a few.   I attempted to use Lowest Price first  ( the search that I would guess 90% of buyers use )  and it was not offered.  I had to use Highest price first and then page backward.     The Pages were a Mess  AND   What a Pain to find completed listings for the item.    The research for almost every item I list uses completed listings.  This is going to be a real pain in the A**.   Way to go Ebay !!   Lets make things worse !

remember - we are dealing with a company who's spell checker still finds the words "ebay" and "paypal"   as mis-spelled words.  Its only been 18 years.

Its COUNT only showed 7 and offered no mean to move to additional pages.       Its a Musical Artist that til now is always in the 100's.   Once I got away from Best Match and used HPF  more listings showed up although hard to absorb.
Havent Tried again. I retired from ebay for the night to work on my stuff at other sites.  I'll try working on some ebay stuff on Tueday after Monday Shipping and Monday Stuff is done.

Most all of my 3000 listings have ended currently. I'm finding it really difficult to do any re vamping  - repricing - etc.   I'd like to  just take a month away and see what happens with all this stuff.   Anytime ebay makes changes its always screwed up for a while  and it seems like a shame to pay the same money to list all my stuff when ebays all screwed up.

Might have to just relist stuff as was since its so hard to research now.

I have done marketing many many years, what obviously these people do not understand is people like ease, people don't like big changes, and people don't like being forced into something. The marketing here has to have a serious screw loose and have to be kids who don't remember COKE, you LOSE business doing things like this, you don't gain.

For those of you who don't remember the big COKE fiasco, they actually changed the ingredients, they lost millions of customers in one day.  A big HUGE example of if it AINT BROKE, DON'T FIX IT DUMMY'S.

Certainly the active listing search has some quirks. The designers at Ebay followed the Microsoft/Apple model, change things just to remind customers who is in control. Nothing intuitive and nothing where it used to be (straight out of the Office design handbook!)

That said, the sold listing search is the greatest improvement on Ebay in years. For sellers or buyers trying to research pricing, this is priceless (I know third-party providers won't be happy they can't put a price on it anymore). For folks who care what listings ended without selling, that search is still there. For the rest of us, the ability to easily see prices realized is a feature not a bug.

KNOWN FACT...

Some do not accept change....

Something to do with the wiring in their brain...

It's one thing to force change on sellers, they have little choice.

It's quite another to force change on buyers.  They do have a choice  it's called BUY ELSEWHERE

Keep dreaming.  I follow eBay rules, yet I can't stop the bleeding of lost sales.  You do as 'they say' yet it is my fault for the drop of sales?  Where does the 'blame game' stop?

This is true, they're not dumb and they DO learn. Which is exactly the point of the thread that they WILL learn and in all probability many already have. Which, in part, could be some explanation for the downturn in sales many sellers are presently experiencing. "Too much hassle, I'll shop somewhere else". Dumb is a relative term though for many other things we see here too .. just saying.

Have you noticed that you can't really edit your saved searches without losing all your refinements?  AND, if you have a lot of, say, excluded sellers, you cannot edit them without losing them all too AND you can't copy that list of excluded sellers because they only show the first 10 or so AND that means you are locked into that search FOREVER.!..AND why don't they allow us more space to exclude sellers and more space for words to exclude in the description.

I mean, I appreciate them trying to tweak things for the better but why not address things that are really important to us and not make the saved searches worse??
