How to filter out items that cannot be delivered to my address

I often search for items I need and select "Price+Shipping lowest first". After selecting this option I choose my country. I wonder why after that I see a lot of items that cannot be send to my country? I pointed the country and I would like to see items that I really can buy and get. I spend a lot of time openning and reading information about items that cannot be send to my country. Is it possible to make some settings so I will see only items that can be send to my county?

Hi bavov2010 Could you walk through what you do, step by step, slowly? I'll see if I can get the same issue. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.

1) Either by entering words to search or by selecting the category I get the list of items. 2) In the "Sort by" drop down combo box I select "Price+shipping: lowest first". 3) After that I see a dialog box asking about my country. Of course I select my country. After that I assume to have filtered list of items which may be sent to my country. Instead, I see all items and sometimes I may see details of 50-60 items which are for the US only and due to some reasons (or bugs?) are shown to me (I'm not from the US).

Hi bavov2010, Thanks so much for taking the time to post. When you enter your country for Sort by Price + Shipping, it does not automatically filter out those items that aren't eligible for shipping to you, though I can understand why that might be an expectation. To see only those items available for shipping to your country, you would need to do either of the following 1) Use the left side of the page under preferences/locations and select Worldwide. This will filter for only those items that can be shipped to any country. 2) Use Advanced Search under Location. Check the box to Only show items from & the radio button to select Available to. Then use the available to drop down to select your country from the list. This will filter for those items available specifically to your country, including those available with worldwide shipping. I hope that makes sense. If not, please let me know. Best Regards & Happy Holidays,

Hi, MarniSue, Thank you for answers but unfortunately none of them worked. I am still not able to get items available for my country. I used Advanced search and selected "Available to" and my county and I got a long list of goods that were NOT available for my county

When you have a moment, could you share the URL either by reposting here or by emailing me directly to Marnisue@ebay.com (please do not use my eBay messages) so we can investigate? Thanks so much,

Being in the US, I don't see this often. I always search with the "Only show items: available to United States" option. But the other day I encountered some items from a seller that "Ships to:Worldwide", but had then added a restriction disallowing shipment to the US, due to his having lost a number of items in shipping to the US lately. I suspect that the "Only show items" filter does not look at these country-specific restrictions.

Tried several ways to filter out items that cannot be shipped to my address but to no avail. While there is no problem with other advanced search options I use, the location preferences are never saved and don't show up below the search bar. There's another weird thing - with every new search, I get a pop-up asking for my default location. Tried to play around with the cookies-settings without success. Cheers, R.

If you see that again, could you send me the item ID to my inbox, please? Please use Marnisue@ebay.com email, as opposed to my eBay messages. Thanks so much!

Hi rambosv - Thanks for taking the time to post. When you have a moment, could you send me an email with the location you are trying to filter for along with the URL so I can ask the Buyer Experience team to take a look? Please use Marnisue@ebay.com email, as opposed to my eBay messages. Best Regards,

Ok. I have this problem too. I even made a saved search, with advanced option "Available to: Brazil" set, but the list shows items that couldn't be shipped to my country. MarniSue, can I send the links to you? Please? This is very annoying. Thank you. Flávio

I experienced the same problem and I think the root cause of it is that when I use the advanced search option and choose "only show items available to Hungary" the system is looking for those listings where the seller stated: "shipping to Worldwide" or to "Europe". There are bunch of excluded countries in the "excluding" list and I think that the search filter is looking only for the first part. What i mean in other way: I am looking for a specific item which can be shipped to my country > Ebay search filter is looking only for entries like "Worldwide" (which is valid) or "Europe" (valid too) and returns all findings to the generated list > When looking for list item details I realize that yeah the item can be shipped to WW or to Europe but my country is in the exclude list... Is there any chance to enhance the filter in case my thought is right?

@h_zsolt This is exactly my case. The seller says that ships to Worldwide, except South America. Hope eBay can fix this search soon.

fh_val wrote: The seller says that ships to Worldwide, except South America. Hope eBay can fix this search soon. An additional note for this topic: when setting the shipping details for an item eBay should restrict the duplication for the same "region" like "shipping to N. and South America, Europe,Asia" and then it says shipping is excluded for "Europe, Asia, etc.." It is okay to exclude one or more country from shipping but looks weird to exclude a whole continent while stating the same for "shipping to"... I hope our notices will be considered from development side.

Another info about this problem: some sellers says that they ships to Worldwide, without exceptions, but my country is not available in the combobox to calculate the shipping taxes. Any news about this?

I am from Canada and am able to sort like this to show only items that can be shipped to me. the only issue I have is that I can not set this as a default option for my searches. I have to do it for every search I do. It is a pain to keep setting this up. Is there a place to set defaults for search options?

Hi labrat407 There is a place to set defaults for search options, but location is not one of them. After you do a search, click on Customize View (it's on the row just above the first result, on the right) then on then various links. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.

Please, guys. We need help here about this issue. Look the result to the item number: 280622831050. At the "Other item info" panel we can see: "Ships to: Worldwide. see exclusions" and, in my case, a information that the item is not available to Brazil. If the seller chose to ship to worldwide, he couldn't select any exclusions, as my search, that try to find only items available to Brazil, brings me this item in results. I need to spend various minutes to dig the results and filter out those items that I already ask to the search engine to take care. Please, fix the search engine to look into item's 'exclusion list' OR dont allow the seller chose "Ships to Worldwide" and then select some exclusions. Thank you!

Yes, this exactly the problem. Supposedly, eBay's programmers are looking into how to fix it.

This has annoyed me for years. Filtering search results to "Location - Worldwide" presents me with many listings that only ship to the US or the US+Canada. Very frustrating to filter through looking for something I can actually buy. Once or twice I have contacted the seller and let them know they are coming up in worldwide searches. It seems that their mistake hase been selecting worldwide shipping when listing the item. If developers are looking into this I ithink they should also make a point of having the seller more clearly define where they would like the product made available to at the time of listing. Because Hawaii and Canada does not mean the rest of the world unfortunately. I really think ebay should have got this sorted by now. It seems like it would be so simple to resolve. Step 1: Force the seller to clearly define the areas they can or canot ship to Step 2: Produce filters and default search options that reference this information and accurately display search results.

tunes_on_tick wrote: .... Filtering search results to "Location - Worldwide" presents me with many listings that only ship to the US or the US+Canada. .... Why filter to "Location - Worldwide"? Filter to "Location: Available to Australia". That will not screen out those who specify "Location - Worldwide", but explicitly exclude, for whatever reason, Australia. But it will screen out most of those sellers who do not ship to your country, while including all of those who do.
