TO YOU MR CEO

Nov 6, 2009 6:44 AM
Shame on you for taking a perfectly running company and making the biggest blunder of all time, CHANGING IT! Shame on you for showing us how true it is that you take a CEO who thinks they are a GOD that the little people dont count and what you say goes, and ignore every damn thing that we are telling you because you believe we will just take it up the you know what, well it will be only a matter of time for you MR CEO, when they get rid of you and you become the poster boy of the world for actually destroying ebay.
HE HE HAH HAH I CANT WAIT FOR KARMA TO COME AFTER YOU MR CEO. I am sure all of your employees cant stand you and what you have done here, all the problems you have caused by forging ahead on the BIGGEST BLUNDER OF WEB HISTORY, YOU DESTROYED THIS COMPANY, who could have ever thought someone would actually do that here? Amazing.

Fwoosh! Not a thing in there I'd disagree with but the only thing to say is...

A little too much coffee today?

On the other hand, quite a few people depended on this place for their livelihoods. I wonder if there's even the most remote chance that John Donahoe ever regrets how many lives he destroyed? I'm guessing not because people like that never do.

Not coffee just seriously fed up with corporate fools messing with people lives and incomes. I have friends who rely on Ebay for their livelyhood and it is now being destroyed because of these changes. I dont see one ounce of this company caring about the people who made them who they are today. It is only simple logic that with what they are doing here they WILL be on a downward spiral very soon.

But it HAS been on a downward spiral ever since JD took over. They've resorted to "creative" reporting to make it seem less bad than it is but the spin gets far beyond laughable.

Yes, a lot of people relied on Ebay for their livelihoods but you have to remember that Ebay doesn't belong to the public, nor does it answer to us. If they did, most of Ebay's management would probably be serving prison terms right now. For that matter, I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see some of them doing that anyway sooner or later, but I doubt it'll happen. In the mean time, they can do whatever they darn well feel like and your best option is to take your business someplace more reliable.

For the life of me, I can't understand why anyone even -tries- to sell things on Ebay now. You have to agree to terms that basically say that you have to pay them money for a service that they may or may not even try to provide - and if you're lucky enough to sell your items, Ebay will take more in fees than most loan sharks.

But the real question is "Is Ebay doing poorly because of the economy, or did all their lame changes effect so many people's livelyhoods that it's effecting the economy"?

To claim that Ebay had any real effect on the nation's (or the world's) economy would be as deluded as the rest of Donahoe's claims to greatness. If they had as much clout as that, they'd be regulated up the ying yang by now and then they WOULD be out of jobs. As far as I know, the only section of this grand scheme that comes under a lot of regulation is Paypal.
