AWFUL! First you get rid of the auction time option on the left, now the search title and descriptions is gone! Now I have to use advanced search each and every time!!! Put it all back!!!

What in the world have they done?!! This is awful! I hope the phone is ringing off the hook from buyers who don't like it either. How much will sales suffer in the mean time? How do you find completed listings? Sellers are not the only ones who use that....

I HATE, HATE ,HATE IT!!!!!!! Why is Ebay, always fixing something that's NOT broke???? I'm ok with trying something new,but when it's worse,why do it and why does Ebay want to leave it ,where no one likes it? I think it's time the CEO of Ebay starts to do there job or Ebay needs a new one.There is always changes on Ebay and yet it's always something that most of Ebays members doesn't like.It's to the point that good members have left Ebay over changes and Ebay doesn't seem to care.When the sellers can't get the buyes into there listings to buy,then the sellers will have no choice than to quite or keep giving there items away.I WISHED EBAY WOULD LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONG! Where I use to work,they had a young man that no one could see what his jop was and he was always coming up with dumb things that didn't make sense and I think this might be the case with the one that keeps changing things on Ebay that doesn't make sense and no body like it.I guess the one that keeps changing things on Ebay that no one likes,there just trying to make it look ,like there doing there job,even if it's what the members hate and what doesn't make good sense.I'm not trying to be mean about it,but let me and others do there business on Ebay,without all the changes that makes it hard.Is Ebay wanting to run there members off????? It's like Ebay wants the money,but doesn't care about the members that made it for them!!!!!

I've never posted on the discussion boards since joining in 1998. I post now, because I feel that the new interface is a terrible step backward. The biggest annoyance: extra clicks required to search descriptions; the checkbox used to make this easy. I could probably live with the rest. This change will negatively affect sales, because users are frustrated; or don't even realize an item is available (because their keyword is not in the title). Then they will go buy from amazon or somewhere else.
Please change it back. In the meant time, if anyone knows how to bring back the old search (at least for my own use), please share.

I hate this too. Ebay always seems to think making you have to click more times, open more lists and dialog boxes is a better idea. I hate it.

Yes, I don'le like this new Ebay search. The ckeckbox "Search in title and description" was very useful to extend the search, and it no more exists. You have to go in the Advanced search option to check this box but there is a problem : i'm looking for aircraft photos, and aircraft designations usually have a "dash" : when I type "F-100 photo", the advanced search menu considers that I'm searching "F photo" and that i want to exclude "100" .... it's a non-sense : "F-100" is a word, it's not like "F -100" with a space after the F...

I don't like the new Ebay search. The ckeckbox "Search in title and description" was very useful to help with the search.. To do a "Search in title and description", you have to go in the Advanced search option to check this box.
When I do a search, nothing shows.

I hate the new search!! The tabs on the side were so much better and so manyi times when I search for something now, it says there are no items. BALONEY!!! Plus half the time I can't find a "save search". I bet we're stuck with it though which makes me want to tear my hair out!

Absolutely terrible. And as I just posted in another topic, the ENDING DATES ARE WRONG WHEN YOU MOUSE OVER THEM. I mean, if you're an auction site, and you can't even display the correct ending dates, I'm not sure what good you are????

Member as a buyer and seller since 99 and I can't find what I'm looking for today. Can't refine and sort search results the way I want to. The search looks like a throwback to 10 years ago but is somehow less functional.
Just as an example of the results ebay's going to get from this change, I found what I was looking for today, but couldn't figure out how to sort by "Buy it now" and "price" at the same time, then the "location" search didn't sort properly. Screw it, I'll just go to Target tomorrow and pick up what I wanted.

This is the most idiotic, insane change ebay has done in my 13 years as a member. It is ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE to find anything! Tonight the screen is totally blank with NO listings coming up. The dropdown menu for category on the right doesn't work. The one on the left does, but when it changes to the category from 'all' it loses the freakin' search words so you have to type them again. but then you can't refine it to where you can look at 12 items instead of 2000. almost everything I buy I have to search within the text to find it, now there's no option for that and it's just a big waste of time to even try. There will be no point in trying to sell anything now, nobody will be able to find it. No point in further shopping, I have wasted literally hours the last few days fooling with this crazy mess because I was desperate to find a few items and the max on my stress level has been reached. I am DONE. From now on it will have to be amazon or google searches for online stores for future purchases unless this is fixed really quick. I have made many comments already on the 'tell us what you think' link that was showing up on the new search, now they have taken it off because they probably got bombarded with many comments besides mine.
