Since the selling manager USED to default to showing time left, and since this is CLEARLY an issue that many sellers are asking about, why doesn't ebay just set the selling manager to default to time left like it USED to?

It was the eBay developers that made this change and now seller's are forced to edit the view instead of the developers following the standard practice of having default views using the default view they USED to use.

Work arounds after the fact are one thing, but would be un-necessary if better procedures would have been followed during the development process....such as using the same default views that end-users are accustomed to seeing.

EBAY ... THIS IS NOT WORKING FOR ME, CALLED OVER 5 TIMES ON HOLD FOR HOURS WAITING, THEN TOLD I WAS SUSPENDED, THEN TOLD OFF, ALL I WANT TO DO IS LIST FASTER, NOT GET TOLD OFF, AND SLAPPED IN MY FACE. WHAT'S THE DEAL??

MY OMNITURE IS NOT WORKING ~ ASKED FOR HELP, THERE IS NO HELP...

MY SCHEDULED LISTINGS ALL ARE GONE POOF ... BUT YOU CAN SEE THEY WERE THERE, I WAS CHARGED FOR 5 OF THEM, AND I LIKE TO SCHEDULE.

What exactly are my alternatives, I am communicating with my customers, to the best of my ability, it just seems as that Ebay has piled me high full of New... Agendas, during the Holiday Season.

I ship priority daily, customers are stating, you state expedited, so since the Concorde is no longer available and I ship Priority regardless of what they pay, and my items are out before noon, the Biggy Question is Ebay States You Ship Overnite Expedited??

Thus doing so would entail more than priority rates, and what more can they throw on us before the Holidays.

Just Overwhelmed!!

Thanks Ebay :)

This was by far the worse attempt at an improvement to "our eBay interface" that you have ever put out. You need to get on this quick, and fix it!X-(

Does any one know how to send email to customer? The new selling manager doesn't allow us to contact buyer. So what can I do. On DSR rate, they stated clearly about "Communication" but now eBay doesn't allow us to communicate.
What doest eBay want????

So Do I have to contact customer directly through His/Her email directly one by one?

Ohh god !!!!! I need Meg Whitman

I just posted this as a new issue, on its own. I wasted an hour, on the phone with eBay today. They told me that Selling Manager is not their product and it's thurd-party. So, if we want it fixed, we need to contact the third-party, it's not eBay's problem!!!!!!

Wasted an hour on the phone with eBay, this morning. They told me that they don't support Selling Manager and that it is a 3rd-party Application. They told me that I have to contact the 3rd-party who developed the application, to get it fixed. By the way, the issue is that, under the "Sold" view, if you drop down the "other actions" menu, Sellers are no longer able to send emails to their Buyers, nor get to their email templates. As a Customer Service Delivery Leader, for a Fortune 50 global corporation, I have to tell you that the customer service was the pits!

Hi there,

The Contact Buyer link in the drop down menu for Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro was unintentionally dropped (a bug). It was not meant to be removed and will be returned as an option in a day or two. You will be able to contact individual buyers at your discretion using this option: (Sold view > Drop Down under Actions > Contact Buyer.)

Regards,
Yardley

Sr. Product Manager @ eBay

This is still ebay BS. yes the drop down bug will be fixed but I am being told by Customer service that we wont get our custom email templates back and that we will have to "cut and paste" any custom text we need to insert from saved word processing file on our computer, AND that we wont be able to do it in bulk but only one email at a time. this is sooooooooooo bad for sellers It will screw us all up and cause hours more worth of work. Sellers, Please come together and Speak out about this as much as we can to get this changed!!! They fixed something that was not broke. It figures!

From the last and latest post created by stuffdogg, the Sr. Product Manager rpelied and claimed that that "contact buyer" link was unintentionally dropped due to a bug. It's been 2 weeks! When will this BUG be fixed? How difficult it is for ebay to fix a simple BUG like this!! This is not making any sense!

Hey I agree, this is the worst thing Ebay have ever done. I used the e-mail & templates to keep my buyers up to date and they really appreciated it.

EBAY BRING BACK THE E-MAIL IN SELLING MANAGER

*****************************************************************************
I agree that dropping the email tools in the sellers toolbag was totally dumb and extremely short sighted. Wouldn't it be nice if the "developers" were force to use the new product for 7 weeks 24/7 before the changes were implemented.
I found the old simple catch one or catch all, used stock replys or create your own mail tool was one of the most useful "tools" ebay had...
It has gone the way of the original feedback system which set the standard for on line sales and was destroyed with the elimination of buyer negative feedback. Some buyers are ******** and sellers need to know about these jerks....
At least bring back the email tool.....!!!!

Hi.

My Name is Matt

The problem is with EBay, specifically Selling Manager Pro. I have been paying for a corrupted system since September (that is, as far as I looked back). All our analytics programs are mess up due to the fact that 90% of our listings are automatically unlisted in our name. To top it off we have soon to be had an automatic payment method hat put me personally in negative right before Christmas I only acknowledged it because of its size.

I have been waiting on my refund from the false charges and word that the problem has been corrected for over two months now with the run around. I plan to go public.

How can go directly to shipping for an estimate?

Before I list an item or after an item is listed and i have a potential buyer , they want to know exeactly what the shipping cost are going to be.  I want to go to the shipping area and recalculate the exact cost to them . I'm having trouble finding the shipping calculator ?

Re: New Selling Manager Views Common Issues

I am contacting this thread o report [lack of] functionality with the Selling Manager tool.

For example within Selling Manager > Awaiting Shipment, there are common functions when a Seller is shipping items out.

What I do is for the item I am shipping, I have to click on the drop down arrow that states: "print shipping label". I rarely want that as my default action. I typically select: "View Sales Record". Having the ability to customize the default value would save 2 clicks.

I also want to perform the tasks:

Enter Tracking Information

Specify Actual Shipping Costs

Print invoice/packing slips in bulk

Currently I have to open each of the above tasks in their own Tab within Internet Explorer 9.

Within each task, there is different behavior, which is inconsistent across the tasks.

"Enter Tracking Information" Task: After submitting the Tracking information, the page returns to a paid and shipped view. That feature is useless to me, as I typically need to continue to ship the "waiting to be shipped" items. it takes 3 clicks to return to the page I need to be at to enter additional tracking numbers for the remaining items to ship.

"Specify Actual Shipping Costs" Task: This page returns to the "paid and shipped view". I am unsure if the site programming returns me to the page I originated from, or if the default action is to return to "Paid and awaiting shipment".

"Print invoice/packing slips in bulk" Task: From the "Paid and awaiting shipment view", I need to click 2 times to get the packing slips to come up. Since the Packing slips pop up in a new tab, I need to click an additional 2 times to return to the "Paid and awaiting shipment" page.

In summary, I have to click 9 additional clicks for every item I ship. With my average of having to ship 9 items every day, that is approximately 72 clicks a day, or 156 clicks a week in excess.

How can the Selling Manager tool better offer access to the above common task in a more customized view, or into a tool that is programmed to return users to the prior page?

Hi!  After years of primarily being a buyer I am now SELLING here!

This is my first attempt selling and I have question.

On one of my auctions I had the option to Buy It Now and I'm

offering FREE SHIPPING if they choose the BIN option.

My question is how do I EDIT the total? I need to delete the shipping costs.

Is there a way to do that besides offering a partial refund?

THANKS!!!
