You could also do it as a charity item just charge some money for the book & let it go to the charity.

LOL imslinginhash! too cute.

Well, as for charging for the book, I'd rather keep it free for all those that contribute, then email the completed e-book to all. If it is a total success, then I might think about "selling" it but it would ALL have to go to a charity of some sort, of course, and right now, I'm not thinking of that, because it's just an idea tonight. But it's a possibility. I just want to get it going, if people are interested. If it's a success, then we can discuss that possibility, which would be really nice, indeed! I would LOVE for that to happen!

That sounds really good imslingin...........can you put it in recipe format here? If not, it's okay, I'll figure it out later, if this thread gets successful.

I think you would run into copyright problems if you charged for it. Many of our favorite recipes come from cookbooks.

Well, I've thought about it more since I started this thread. It all depends on how many recipes I get. If enough people post recipes here, say at least 50 decent recipes, then I can compile a "As Posted on Town Square Recipes". I didn't think about a charity before, but it's possible, without breaking any copywright laws. If people's money went to a charity it would be just fine. The thing is, I'd have to figure out what charity, and it would have to go to them directly, not me. Anyway, I am open to suggestions everyone. If the charity isn't a "go", there is always the original premise: Post your recipes, I will compile them into an e-book and email them to requesters after the thread ends, no money involved at all.

Apple Cake

1 box yellow cake mix(NOT the pudding included kind)
1 small box French vanilla instant pudding
4 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 8 oz container sour cream
- combine and beat for 5 minutes -

then combine in a separate bowl:

1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
2 apples, peeled and diced

Pour 1/2 batter into greased and floured bundt pan. Evenly cover with 1/2 apple/nut mixture. Cover with remaining batter, then the rest of apple/nut mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
May drizzle with favorite icing, but not neccessary.
(Cream Cheese frosting, or confectioner's sugar drizzle, are two favorite icings)

Shepherds Pie....

6 large potatoes, boiled, and mashed with butter, milk, and salt & pepper. Put to one side.
Heat the oven to 350 degrees
2 lbs lean ground beef
1 bag Frozen mixed vegetables (California mix is good)
1 tin kernal corn
2 cans Campbells mushroom with garlic soup
1 can beef gravy
1 pkt lipton onion soup
salt and pepper to taste (Season Salt is good)
Brown the ground beef in a roasting pan and pour off any
fat. Mix all other ingredients, but NOT the mashed potatoes, into the beef and add 1/2 can water. Bake uncovered in the oven for 1 hour. Remove, and stir the mixture. Spread the potatoes over the mixture, sprinkle some paprika, and a little cheese if you wish, and place under the BROILER until the top is turning brown. Keep an eye on this, as when it FINALLY starts to brown, it browns VERY fast. This recipe will feed a family, and can be frozen too.
