Attention ebay community!!! Have you experienced the following on ebay? 1. Unjustified negative feedback 2. Felt alone trying to communicate with ebay 3. Voiced a genuine concern to ebay only to recieve an automated response 4. Felt an increase in constrictive rules as a seller 5. Felt that buyers have been givin too much power Have you noticed that ebay.com has created a monopoly? Currently ebay requires all payments be done through paypal. Paypal's money market fund is at a laughable (if not so seriously true) percentage. Ebay is on the attack against sellers in one form or another. Lets see . . . listing fees + listing enhancement fees + sold fees + paypal payment fees = $$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yea, check your account statements and you will see that ebay and paypal take a sickly amount of your money per item sold. Do YOU think ebay deserves this much of your hard earned money??? I mean, you drove to purchase the item, picture it, time to create the listing, market it, sell it, communicate with the buyer, package the item, deal with all hassles and aspects of shipping and handling, and possibly create a budget around all this to keep business flowing. Then, if feedback, DSRs, disputes, fees, and/or listing mistakes are below ebay's perfectionist rules, you get restricted!!! No warnings, no communication, and with a one-sided absolute ruling against you!!! WOW!!! It's a good thing that SO MANY people just take this kind of abuse or ebay would be out of business!!! We the people, need to STAND UP!!! Let ebay know that their tyrannical views and treatment on OUR buying and selling community will NOT be tolerated!!! Ebay FORGOT that without us, it ceases to exist. Voice out!!! It is due time that we the consumers show how much power we have!!! Also, I emailed the following message to ebay's customer service but don't expect it to get anywhere with them, so please communicate it to anyone and everyone that needs to read it!!! ----------------------------- Dear ebay, My selling privleges were restricted due to the seller non-performance policy. The only violation I was aware of, and is now resolved, was an overdue balance of my ebay fees. The restriction email I recieved was a generalized message and did not specify my personal infractions. I would very much like to know what issue or issues resulted in my restriction. In fact, listing these issues for account holders when a restriction is made will help the ebay community. This will help by bringing attention to the individual any issues they may have been unaware of. Also, I belive that account restrictions should be less than 30 days or lifted immediately upon issue resolution. I myself have been relying upon ebay as a primary income source since becoming a displaced worker over 1 1/2 years ago. Ebay could benefit as an economic stimulator by actively resolving account issues in real time. This would result in two main outcomes: 1. Ebay could hire more customer service operators (thus, creating jobs) 2. Accounts could be active and in good standing MUCH faster, which would create more buying and selling with an end result of ebay generating more income. Also, I know that ebay.com should impliment this great new campaign as a way to generate more income due to the fact that fiscal 2008 revenue for ebay.com fell short of investor expectations. In conclusion, my suggestions would be a great benefit to ebay, its customers, and our current economy. In fact, there really is not a downside to these ideas other than the fact that this message may fall to deaf ears. I have emailed concerns and suggestions to ebay frequently in the past. Yet, all responses I have recieved were obviously computer generated. This shows me that ebay is increasingly losing its communication and attachment to the commerce community that it strived to create. So, if this message is actually read then please take all I've stated into consideration. Also, forward it to the CEO, your boss, or whomever has the power and/or ability to bring ebay back to the prestigious company that it used to be.
