Integration of eBay/StubHub

Integration of eBay/StubHub

What is the future looking like in regards to eBay being further integrated with StubHub?  Will we continue to see StubHub listings on eBay?  Will eBay auctions ever make their way to the StubHub site?  I would love for buyers to be able to find eBay auctions over there.

Starting May 1—get up to 2,500 FREE listings* every month with an eBay Stores subscription

eBay has reduced the upfront cost to sell for Store sellers! With eBay’s new everyday rate plans, you get from up to 150 to 2,500 FREE listings* per month—no insertion fees, auction-style or fixed price—with an eBay Stores subscription. You pay a final value fee only when you sell! Plus, the final value fees for Stores have been streamlined to just 5 competitive category-based rates as low as 4%—and never more than 9%—regardless of how you sell.

*Pay no insertion fees for your allotted free listings per calendar month. Optional fees, including advanced listing upgrades and supplemental service fees, still apply. Hi ticketmanjimmy,

Thanks for your questions.

We are planning to continue integrating with StubHub and carry their ticket listings on our site so you will continue to see StubHub listings on eBay going into 2012.

At this point, we do not have plans to surface eBay Ticket auctions or listings on StubHub's site in the immediate future.

Thanks!

Yaniv Shimony, Tickets team

I have NFL tickets listed for sale. When the San Francisco seating chart is clicked, my listing in Section 3 doesn't show up. It only shows another seller's listing which is twice the price of my tickets in the same section. I have a three day listing and already one day is shot. My husband and friends are also looking, same result. Why would this happen? Do you have to pay extra for this feature?

Firstly, I know some people seem to like this new system merging ebay and Stubhub listings, but I think it absolutely sucks and represents a conflict of interest of sorts.

I am paying ebay to advertise my tickets, not send them to a competing site.  They're basically saying you want to list tickets with us?  Well, you better damn well list them on Stubhub as well because we're sending your buyers over there to have a look (hey, ebay, I've got an idea - how about also directing buyers to brokers' sites and get a kickback from that as well?!).

But what's worst about it is the format of the listings. Unless I'm not figuring out a way to show the listings completely, only a portion of the title shows unless someone opens it (and furthermore they expect you to spend an addtional $1.50 for a subtitle that isn't going to be seen?!).

I've been having trouble even finding my own listing and I know I'm not the only one because my page views are now a small fraction of what they used to be!

Totally fed up withe the monster that ebay has become!

I find it a little discouraging that no one responded to product_cellar's post. As a broker, I think hehas some legitimate concerns that I would like to see eBay address. I have been hearing rumblings lately that eBay may rid the tickets category of the StubHub tab altogether and fully integrate SH listings with eBay ones, and the lack of response to his concerns only makes me less comfortable with the future of the tickets category.

I hate it too, it sucks.  Get rid of it....we all know how to find StubHub.
