To the eBay Tickets Team:
On behalf of the RocketPoster eBay Listing solution which powers over 475,000 eBay "Category" listings on behalf of 100's of ticket brokers, I wanted to make you aware that eBay recently implemented a platform change that is now preventing the posting of listings for events taking place outside of US & Canada.
Since communication from the eBay Tickets Team seems to be slow in coming as of late, it is unclear if this change to the eBay Tickets category was intentional or accidental. The specifics have been provided below:
eBay has an Item Specific "Venue State/Province" tag associated with eBay ticket listing. Previous to this change, eBay allowed this tag to be set to "N/A" for all events taking place outside of U.S & Canada.
Since this recent change which took place on, or about, June 26th, eBay is now forcing the Item Specific "Venue State/Province" tag to be set from a list of US & Canadian country codes. If this tag is not set from the list of US & Canadian country codes, it will not successfully post a new listing to eBay, or update an existing listing.
Due to this unexpected change by eBay, the RocketPoster listing tool was forced to pull down all listings for events taking place outside of US & Canada from eBay.com on behalf of the 400+ brokers we power.
As a courtesy from the eBay Tickets Team, it would be helpful to know this change to the eBay Tickets category was intentional, and if so, what was the benefit/purpose?
