PSP's lost international shipping USPS

Hi, just wondering if any sellers are having problems with shipping PSP's from the US internationally? I now have 4 missing consoles going to 3 different countries. All were scanned in to show I shipped but none of them have arrived. 1 was shipped 2 months ago, 1 1 1/2 months ago and the other 2 months ago. I used flat rate Priority envelope like always. The USPS says there is nothing they can do once they are scanned in the US that's it. I have shipped many of these internationally and never had a problem. Now my 100% feedback is no more and I have holds on my PayPal money. Just wondering if there was something going on that I'm not aware of? Thanks for any help.

So a few years ago, I'm hanging out before a B-52's concert talking to my new friend from Brazil that I just met. He came to New York on vacation. I told him that I sell on eBay, I'm thinking of selling Internationally, and asked him why so many sellers won't ship to Brazil. Without hesitation, he said customs steals everything. He said if you mark it as a gift under $50, you might have a chance, but if you use a label that says eBay in the corner, it's gone.

My niece moved to Argentina and soon after warned everyone not to mail her birthday and Christmas gifts. Neither my niece nor my new friend are scammers, they tell you right upfront they will not receive the mail..

HAHA! I was never implying that the overwhelming majority of citizens in Brazil or Argentina, or any other country for that matter are scammers (hence the Mafia possibility I mentioned)! But there are a few individuals in the countries that I've mentioned on the previous post who have been using ebay to scam. So as a seller, it may be best to just exclude those nations as "ship to" locations in order to protect yourself.

What were some of the other countries besides Indonesia to where these PSPs supposedly went missing? If Italy, Russia, or Brazil are among them, then there is a pretty good chance that you're being scammed by the buyers. I want to say that it's a mob/mafia related matter, but it could be clever individual scam-artists as well, who are simply exploiting ebay/PayPal's proof of delivery requirement in order to protect sellers from false INR (item not received) claims. Also, these 3 nations have a reputation of having slow/curious customs offices where unusual delays and disappearances are not very uncommon. That's why I personally will not ship anything $100 or over to these countries.

Now as for tracking, the Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope service doesn't come with tracking service for international shipments like the more expensive STANDARD Priority Mail International service does, and even then it's not always guaranteed that updates will show on the USPS website. Only Express Mail (which is the most expensive) guarantees that an update will show on the USPS website because the package is signed for and scanned at the point of delivery. So if you continue to use PM Flat Rate Envelopes, all you'll see is the package acceptance date at your local PO, but no further updates will show. And this isn't good enough to meet ebay/PayPal's requirement of proof of shipment. So just be aware of that when you ship abroad from now on. Good luck!

I won't ship things overseas unless I'm ok with the item not showing up (from a financial standpoint).

Btw, if for some reason your package(s) needed to be returned to you I'd expect it to take a minimum of a couple months and up to six months before you see them.

I have so concerns shipping to so area's. I am super sorry to see the red mark on you. It does not look good on you. Is there any way to work something out with the buyer on that mark. and I see the buyer is from Indonesia. I have some co-workers from there and I asked them before how the shipping service is there since I have shipped there before. They told me not very good. I am sure you know there is some hot spots out there and I will only use USPS express mail. I have been bit to many times. But please work something out with the buyer. That mark is no good.
