Hi all and Happy Halloween to you!! It appears that the Headless Horseman has hijacked our original thread. Or perhaps it was a technical glitch brought on by the forces of the Great Pumpkin. In all seriousness, the original thread is no longer available. With much regret, I must ask those of you who had previously entered to repost your pictures. As a small consolation for your troubles, we will now offer a first AND a second prize on the Vintage Clothing & Accesories board. Here are the details: - Submit your entry by posting a picture of your vintage costume to this thread. For tips on including an image within a post, check out Bob's tips on the Photo & HTML board. - Entries will be accepted thru midnight (PDT) October 29th. - A winner will be selected by a panel of judges (ok...not really a panel ..just a few fun-lovin pinks) and announced on October 31st. - You must abide by the Have fun and most of all...Happy Halloween! Here I am again, eagerly awaiting the little trick or treaters: My man and me: I was wearing a sequined 70s gown and a velvet cape from the 50s. Lizzie

OK - one more time! Here I am (sorry - no scanner - had to take a pic of a pic) in my 1999 Halloween costume visiting NYC and my good friend Oliver (in the background.) I dressed all in vintage as The 20th Century, wearing iconic examples of each decade: ie, bellbottoms with castles and clouds for the 60s, 80s glitz top, early 20th c. celluloid rose necklace, etc... plus some iconic photos tacked to my clothes. And the left half of my face and hair attempted to be 20s, the right side 70s. As I said b4, I was a bit disappointed as we went out Halloween night, a Sunday, and found that the entire rest of Manhattan had gone out Sat. night for Halloween instead! Sacrilegious! And quite staid of New Yorkers, I thought, to have not wanted to party on a Sunday - oh, horrors... Marie D.

Hello artful.seller, That was a typo (we are running a similar contest on the Bears discussion board). It should read: "post a picture of your vintage costume". Any size will do. Good luck! Hello valentinemcgee, Sorry I missed the deadline. Would have been happy to pop in and say hello. Lulu

Ok, it was a hard decision, but I have finally chosen. This is an actual vintage theatrical costume, straight out of the 1930s. It is a harem girl costume, and is made of heavy silk satin, with silk chiffon sleeves and legs, and is sprinkled all over with rhinestones, and the sleeves are trimmed with gold metal lace. I love all of the heavy rhinestone trim on the bodice and back. The mask is new, and was rather expensive and well made, but did not come with the costume. Katie

Thanks anyway Lulu!!

I forgot all about this too, I have a great picture of me in my raggedy ann costume, about, oh 30+ years ago now.

The costume is still at my grandmothers house, last time I was there we took it out. I have no idea how she can still find it!!

Cool! I was hoping one of the kiddies would win and I got my wish and won something myself as well. Surprises are fun.

I was really hoping more people would enter though :(

Thanks!
